Today, as i was playing, the french channel was spammed every five minutes by a new isk seller advertiser.
Every five minutes, it's not only boring, but it seem there is a real problem. Whatever you are doing to handle the problem is obviously not working.
May i suggest considering new mesures to erase illegal isk selling in game?

CCP should goto the ISK sellers websites and get them to remove their ISK sales as they are selling copyrighted items.

It's not a single new char that come every five minutes, it's every five minutes a new char, this mean they create a new char every five minutes
Every five minutes petitionning the new char that come advertising? Well, no problem, how much do i get paid to pass all my time in eve petitionning isk selling advertising chars?
I can't even open my block list anymore, everytime i try, it hang the game for 5 minutes. It's full of isk selling chars that came spamming the chans.

If it was that simple they would have done it already.

its time everyone just accepted isk sellers are part of the game,
i dont buy isk, if i cant be bothered to earn isk i sell gtc, i can understand why people do it though, the main reason is time, not everyone has lots of hours per day to sit playing eve,
Eve has provided people with an opertunity to make RL cash, i do feel a bit sorry for those RL poor people burning out their eye sockets just to eat, employment is scarce in their part of the world, but who cares right? weve got to maintain the integrity of our game at all costs.

Indeed. It's rather disgusting that someone can drop rl cash to get ahead in game while legitimate players bust their asses to put some actual effort into playing in order to get what they are after.
I have and will continue go out of my way to disrupt "isk farmer" activities and take every advantage to kill them, break their npc chains, or if i get lucky with probes I'll destroy their giant secure containers.

The problem anit CCP or what they are doing or not doing for that mather... It is the players who buy the ISK who is the problem. If there where noone buying ISK from thoes Isk-sellers, there are no market and pooff away they go. But as long as players want to take a short cut and cheat, there will allways be ingame currentcy sellers - in any game.
I'll say that CCP is doing a fine job at this mess that "we" have put up to them, and say "shame on you who buy ISK" and making life hard for us who don't buy ingame currentcy for real money.
- It would have been a good idee to put all isk-buyers "AFK" - A Free Kill - thing for the next 6 mouths... everytime they are out in space, anyone can target them, blow them up, pod, yes, do whatever we want to do. That would make all ISK-buyers think twies before they bought anything for real life money. ------------ Dozar Klingz

Well, yes. Right you are. If the buyers would stop buying ISK for RL cash the "black ISK market" would fall. But.. in EVE you need ISK to buy stuff regulary. If you die aka. lose ship and pod you'll need a large amount of isk to recover that loss especially if it was a t2 ship. In other games, like wow, you can get the very best items by working together in a team and when you get the best items.. The only thing you ever need to replace is the gold that is lost due to the durability loss if you died to a npc monster. My point is that you really need isk in this game.. That's why people will buy it. However I really like this system when you really loose when you loose.

I've added alot of these "ISK selling" characters to my friends list instead of blocking them. While doing so I also reported them as ISK selling bots or whatever. However.. these characters keeps logging in every week. One of these "friends" logged in today, over 4 weeks since I reported him/her.

I think a warning the first time, if it's nog a really big amount, would do.. "We noticed that you bought ISK, the amount that you bought have been taken from your wallet. We'll keep an eye on you and your account." Then temp. ban or lifetime ban. The "AFK" idea would suite some players because of them being pirates. I like that you bring new ideas though.

You do need to buy stuff; and having to compete against players who just buy a couple of billion whenever they want a new toy makes that factor worse.
But what the hell. Buying ISK is like paying a guy to fly you to the top of the mountain while someone else is climbing up it. At the end of the day you're just at a higher altitude, and then what?

It's a lot harder than you think. They just make a new account and keep at it. Doesnt CCP sponsor ISK selling in the form of GTC sales? 'not supporting' is not the same as discontinuing. ----------------------------------------------- "post with your main. delete your alt, you sad little exploiting metagamer."

Seems like 1bil isk costs around 60 dollars now. So ISK is currently way cheaper in black market than in white market. Perhaps we need to start pumping up prices of GTC's because buying ISK from black market and then buying GTC's on white market is more effencient.

Many people come to the table to point at the problem. Very few come to the table with a solution...Because, coming up with a usable solution is the hard part.
Do you have a solution to propose?
