Originally by: Oveur These ships will currently enter like all other Tech 2 has entered the economy. Through the lottery and of course inventable.
So the Lottery was phased out, and now it's restarted. Ensue much whinage...
And then Oveur ruined my fun by editing the DevBlog again...
Originally by: Oveur These ships will like recent Tech 2 has entered the economy recently, through Invention only.
So there will be no more BPO Lottery, assumptions were correct. No forum whinage required.

Who's assuming? We were told, quite specifically, that no further T2 BPOs would be given out. Now, either the lottery is going to be handing out BPCs (lol), or CCP have just gone back on a major game change with no prior warning.
Oh, and let us not forget the gallente buff and the t2 cloaking BSes capable of allowing fleets of recons to bypass any gatecamps they wish.

That was the general assumption, seeing as Oveur stated as much (although you could argue he was just talking about the current remaining rounds).

Just to confirm what was said in a January DevBlog:
Originally by: Oveur How do we then get blueprint originals in the future?
The short answer, is that you don't. When we transition over to Invention, we would accelerate the last blueprint lotteries. It's only fair that the ones that are already scheduled to go out be delivered. But say that we do the transition in Revelations 1.4, we would be accelerating the current schedule by 4 months. After that, Invention - the player driven way to achieve Tech 2 blueprint copies would be the only way to get into Tech 2.
Still, one wouldn't want to assume too much.

Time to soon reactivate those old research accounts that have been lying gathering datacores for the past year then
But oh boy my previously two years of RP's that was cashed in - now back to zero that feel a bit... dissapointing tbh if the lottery starts again, but oh well.
Help me help you. |

I can see where your coming from but... tbh it ain't over until the fat lady sings... and as the lottery wasn't ever actually removed after 1.4 was a big sign they weren't completely following that statement. The simplest answer is probably the correct one - that oveur was mistaken and it's not coming in through a lottery.

Unless they were Starship Datacores most of the time you'd probably have come out better having cashed in than winning a BPO.

You are indeed right and my trusted colleagues have pointed out the flaw in my logic. There have been a number of Invention only releases and we will continue to do so. This is not the lottery you are looking for. It's dead Jim.

I find it unacceptable, quite frankly. It should be revised to the original edit allowing us two days of forum drama before eventually being corrected to reflect the truth.

Edited by: Dark Shikari on 11/09/2007 16:53:35 This isn't a half bad idea; the invention costs for these ships is so high (700m or something) that without the lottery, they'll cost far too much for anyone to afford
Of course, unless the build time on the BPOs is very high, it'll be a gigantic money printer, assuming the ships don't suck.

No i don't think any new ones will be handed out ever, if the original goes poof then tough luck, go invent it.
Still... not sure if i should finally exchange all my RP's for datacores.
CCP, let us pay the online shop with Direct Debit!!! Magners is now recruiting, evemail me or Dagazbo ingame.

how so ?
a quiqk calk says around 100m for a 1 run 100m for the t1 item 100 m build cost (speculation but here ccp cantinker the price ) 100 profit
so 4 to 500 mill not that much for a jumpable ship me thinks _______________________________________________ EVEpedia[Deutsch/German] add
