I havenÆt played this game in weeks; all I do is log on to train skills. I used to do some pirate hunting but the camping, ganking and login off bores me to tears, and no literaly let me explain.
Trying to find some one is time consuming and will end in failure most of the time, you see some one in local either he is in a base or hidden in the system somewhere. In the off chance you catch some one rat farming or mining we will probably have a tanked out BB and just log out if he canÆt beat you. So what happens is I waste my time searching for PC rats being bored to tears, I do a lot of yawning as this game puts me to sleep when all IÆm doing is aimless searching for extremely elusive prey. When I yawn repeat ably my eyes begin to tear so hence ôbored to tearsö
CCP please make tracking down someone possible and successful, and please remove logging out as a method of escape and please put let us know if someone is docked or out in space through the local channel. We also need stealth or some method to buy us some time to actually get the jump on criminal scum bags. In my experience PC rats scatter like roaches the moment they see someone they think is after their hide in the local channel.
CCP do this and I may actually play your game.
What are you going to do? I'm going to kill them all sir |

Get a level 3 agent with location services.
For example, my agent has located you at:
W6V-VM system in the 8BO-IH constellation of Querious region.

This is so funny, if CCP would make it easier to chase people. It would also make it easier to greif play them right back.
Keep on flaming, lamers.

Just wait for the Scout Elite Frigates which can warp to mid-space safespots - that should be fun.

I totally agree, I think if this works out as intended 'safe spots' will not be the same haven they once were. I would expect to see a sharp rise in the warp-to-safe-spot, hit-shieldboost-and-hardners, and-logoff-in-mid-warp syndrome but still there is a chance to catch people which mean more PvP and more fun. :)
Not sure how this will go over with the 0.1 - 0.4 mining community though. Might make life very hard on them. ------------------------------------------------

Combat boring?
Find cool partners and make your own wars, search for fight that challange you and your friends, thats fun.

I agree that it's not much fun now when it's near impossible to catch the enimy. If you got 15 ships and they got 2 well. If they do a mistake then you got them otherwise it's near impossible. /Phoibos

Either that or start training now...
Omni's right, too (Gah! It seems like every other post lately I'm saying "Oh, I agree with Omni...". Stop posting reasonable things! Grrr!). Find some enemies that you can actually fight and you'll have a blast. It's almost better than sex.
Actually, it's not.
But it's still pretty fun...

agreed there. CTDs are getting rare enough now that they should remove this disappearing act when you log or crash.

Great idea ... would force everyone who actually has some RL back into systems with a station as he sometimes just cannot afford another 30+ minutes to travel back if something important needs his attention but who cares? F*** those lame gamer-wannabes, we can easily live without them ...

ships could dissapear after lets say 5 minutes. this would make logging off in the middle of combat a stupid option. alts shouldnt be allowed to log on if 5 minutes havent passed since the other character of the account has logged off. nowadays logging off and logging an alt is a most efficient way to save your bs during pvp skirmishes. its lame, isnt it?

afaik logging to an alt does not make your ship dissappear any faster anymore so your second suggestion is pointless.
5 minutes would be fair however ... still people whos client crashes are f**** but I guess there is no way avoiding this anyway

Combat is fun, depending on who you have by your side. Try taking out 4-6 friends on frigates and gang a BS , nothing is more fun.
Also - when you learn to respect your enemy and keep the smacktalk down in local , the time after each fight can be a blast - both sides giving credit to pilots on both sides.

Join a corp in any of the alliances constantly batteling each other. Sure there are an element of "run and hide" in the alliance wars too but, since most ppl in the alliances WANTS to fight you can be pretty sure you'll get to kill someone or be blown up by said someone at least a few times per night.
Or. Just fly in to Stain, Curse, Venal or any other hot region and I'm pretty sure you'll get your fight

I would if I could but I wonÆt. IÆve spend hours and days of mind numbily boring courier missions working my way up to a level 3 agent. I couldnÆt take it any more I have more fun reading a magazine in a waiting reception areaà seriously.

ThatÆs a rather moot point since nothing is more effortless then gate camping. Tracking down players is more involved then just sitting next to a gate. Also when you enter low sec space you are fair game so I donÆt see a problem with this. Also despite new tracking methods escape will mostly always be possible if the hunted is alert. This I wouldnÆt mind because it may be me one day that needs to make a quick escape when facing inmountable odds.

IÆm one of those lone wolf players. I like doing things on my own and not sharing any credit or glory to be had. If I did accomplish something I can say to myself ôI did this on my own and needed no help from any oneö. I take pride in that. CCP promised there is room for many types of players in EVE lone wolf players included. So far in EVE itÆs too frustrating to get involved in the PvP side of things when youÆre on your own.
LotÆs of constructed criticism here which is good and I hope CCP paid attention. Tracking and stealth is almost non existence in EVE which are vital game play tools we all need. In my opinion PvP combat is still incomplete but has gotten much better over the months. I want to see more hunting and less camping, stealth and interception game play implements are needed.
