Its an account ban, not a people ban. You can just start another account, train / buy a new character and start over.
No, at this level it is a player ban. As he did RL threats, abter being warned and temporary banned for that before, he, the player, was permabanned. all his accounts where banned. If he is returned and CCp get prof that he is the same player, his caracters will be throw out of the game again.

I don't think you can transfer character off an inactive account.
As an old corpie thought you could transfer from a deactivated account but you can't, meaning had to pay for an extra months subscription :P
So as can't reactivate a banned account i very doubtful you could tbh.

Not banning him wouldn't make sense. I mean, if you ban him for death threats then you consider him a hazard or an unwelcome presence. Just because he changes the mask doesn't mean he isn't a danger to other CCP customers. Even if he didn't mean those threats, well, if a person is willing to make the threat he's either very stupid, or occasionally forgets where to draw the line..hence, dangerous. I don't see why CCP should take the chance for $15, not when there are numerous cases of MMO murders in Korea and China.

I don't get it.
So if somebody RL threatens me in RL can I ban them from RL?
Since Eve is a game I play in RL, I am getting confused.
Since my RL is partially spent, gone, playing Eve, if people blow up my stuff, that part of my RL is gone and cannot be recovered since the time has passed and I'm not able to get it back.
Any in game consequence is like killing a portion of my RL, so the two are linked. Entangled. Anything in game is RL, but maybe not vice versa.
No wonder I'm spun out.

If someone threatens to kill you in real life, they can go to jail.
Just petition it, if the GM's find any evidence that it's Ginger, then he'll get banned. If not, then he'll continue playing.
But for the life of me, i can't figure out why you posted this.

Yes, if the threat where serious enought you can ask an order from the judiciary system to the person ordering him to stay away from you. In serious cases the order could include him moving his residence away from the city where you live or even the order to live in a specific city with him going every day to the local police station to certify his continual presence there.

As far as I'm aware he never 'left' (only his main was banned, not his alts). And CCP are well aware, they just don't care. (not saying that's their offical line, just their reaction)

The real life threats real was tip of a very large iceberg. He has done many silly and damaging things to the EVE community in general and has had quite a few short bans in the past. He used exploits on numerous occasions and word had it he had his hand in a devs pocket also.
The permanent ban was inevitable and im sure after a few of the exploits he was using was reported they where keeping a close eye on him.
If hes back are well what will be will be and he'll be banned again. If hes not. GOOD.

RL deatthreats should be a instant permaban of account and CC and everything tbh.
if you cannot refrain from RL deaththreats ingame you need proffessional help and CCP shouldnt stand in the way of them getting it by taking up their time by letting them play eve.

afaik if the account is banned you cannot transfer accounts from it as you cannot log into eve website to effect the transfer.

When I engage these coils normally I do about 2x10^6 dps. But I try to avoid that because people, entire populations, like die. So I try to keep it to about 4x10^3 dps. |
