I was under the impression this no longer set off Concord, since players were being Concordokkened for using torps against legitimate war targets near empire stations and gates.
Missiles and torpedos no longer have a blast radius for the above mentioned reason. As far as I know, the only weapons with a blast radius are ECM bursts, smart bombs, bombs from stealth bombers and doomsday devices.

hey hey
Looking at the OP's description of events id say that something else happened to cause the CONCORD Blobage.
1) CONCORD will only intervene if you commited a criminal act.
If a criminal act was committed during the mission CONCORD will warp in and shoot the crap out of you regardless of your location but the OP clearly stated that he only got the BBQ invite AFTER warping out the mission.
Was it Definately CONCORD ?
2) Did you pick up any Drugs/Contraband during the mission ? 3) Did you shoot a Structure of any kind ?
You often get a warning that you will get a penalty and possibly shot at if you shoot certain mission strutures. If you shot a Galllente Faction Structure you could nave been criminally flagged to Gallente and when you warped to the gate/station they shot you
Dunno but i certainly feel that you may have missed something

This is incorrect. I have tested the mechanic repeatly on the test server and have GM confirmation of the following.
If you remote rep an NPC pirate (something with an associated sec status increase and concorde storyline pirates) you will receive a GCC flag only. Concorde does not respond as this is the current mechanic. (edit: sentry guns and faction police will not appreciate you being there if you're within range)
My opinion is that it should invoke a Concorde response to stop some of the mischief that's been going on.
I agree I don't have the features to be a holoreel star. Most people have missed the point that this is Mobsters Online and that carebears are at the bottom of the foodchain. |

This is not limited to missions. I got blown up by concord as soon as I logged in this morning, below is the complete scenario, starting yesterday evening.
While exploring in a lowsec system I noticed a Retriever mining in a belt guarded by a Scorpion. After clearing the site of npc and hacking all cans I warped to station and switched to my Drake.
As I undocked and warped to a safespot I noticed the Drake was at 60% shields and thought it was a bit odd. Waited for the shield to recharge then warped to the belt and killed the two ships there.
Looted and warped to another safespot and waited out the gcc before heading back to station and once again switch to my Buzzard.
As soon as I undocked the sentries engaged me and I noticed I had a new GCC starting at 12 minutes, this time I got lucky and warped off in 40% structure.. towards another gate. Cloaked and set gate as destination and enabled autopilot and managed to jump through again warping off and cloaking as soon as possible to avoid sentry fire. GCC again reset to 12 minutes.
As it was getting late I figured I'd log in space and continue the trip this morning and the faulty GCC would be gone with the relog. This morning I logged on and jumped through to the next system (0.9 sec) and was instapopped by concord. My secstatus is not below the limits, I had no GCC when I logged on, but as soon as I jumped systems it again appeared at 12 minutes.
To me it looks like the GCC appears with sessionchanges as each and every time I undocked, jumped and so on the GCC was reset at 12 minutes.
Bugreport and petition filed.

I have got GCCs for shooting structures in missions, even though the buildings were listed as WANTED (and didn't give the warning about attacking a civilian faction). This all happened in the past couple of weeks. Had to wait out the GCC before completing the mission.

Are you in the same corp?
If not shield repping IS considered a hostile action, even if you are in the same alliance or gang.
But this happens with single players, no remote repping, no gang, nothing. A friend of mine lost an Absolution to it a couple of days ago flying solo.

Yes and no.
The intended game mechanic is as follows: Aiding criminal NPCs in high-sec will entail immediate CONCORD action.
This was implemented in Revelations II because of grieving issues. Before this tactic could be used to kill players who were up against warp scrambling NPCs, if you armor/shield repaired the warp scramblers the player couldn't kill them and he couldn't warp away either due to the warp scrambling effect (and therefore slowly died).
Due to a defect, however, this mechanic may sometimes appear inconsistent and random since the current game mechanic on Tranquility is that aiding criminal NPCs in high-sec will give you a GCC flag and entail CONCORD action as soon as you make a session change (e.g, jump a stargate or dock/undock).
This issue has been fixed and we are now debating whether to release that fix soon or wait until Revelations III.

When you fix it please make that confirmation box for criminal act also available.
I have relased my repair drones on NPC instead of my wingman once by mistake and there was no warning box. I just got the 'red timer' but no CONCORD fortunately. So I just sitted there for 15 minutes doing as little noise as possible after I figured out that CONCORD is not coming after first 30 or so seconds.

this defect . . ..
Are you guys aware that its the Drones that are causing the problem ?
As repair drones will also wander off randomly and/or repair an NPC due to it being shot at. Anyone who Deliberatly repairs an npc using a remote repair mod certainly does deserve to be CONCORD loved but it seems that most people are innocently being blown up due to wandering drones.
Carniflex : If your drones wander off you still wouldnt get the warning pop up :(

There are unfortunately also some inconsistencies there as well and we have a fix for that, still to be released.
We are also contemplating to have different warning messages for low-sec and high-sec and make the high-sec warnings non-suppressible. But no decision on that yet. Input welcome

Even though you could not possible have had the time to engage in illegal activities? As I stated. I logged on after several hours, no timer, jumped through gate, CONCORDONKED, new timer 12 minutes..
And to answer the drones statement. I did not use drones on the NPC's since I was flying with EW.. then again about 20 minutes before I started seeing oddities I happened to kill another player.. sry

In my case I actually managed to order them on NPC instead of my wingman Needless to say I was not very pleased with myself as my wingman had logistic drones on me already and my imagination got real busy imaging how 2 CNR's with fittings I would rather not like to replace go up in two nice explosions in rapid order.
What ****ed me during those 30 seconds when I tried to recall my alt's drones before CONCORD arrives (as thats the way it goes usually with red timer in hi sec without wardec) was lack of confirmation box. I normally pay attention to what I'm doing it's just that I was taking rather heavy fire and thus lagged a bit so those lil critters ended up on NPC instead of my alt.
I have not had a pleasure to see logistic drones to switch targets on their own. They usually stick rather fanatically to the target they are assigned to. Granted I usually use them from relatively short distances (under 20 km).

Good to hear that there's a fix in the works. The people using it just wait out the gcc timer or could dock and undock in a shuttle thus exploiting the mechanic.
Thanks for the response.

i would do it as a fix as for some plexes this is a real problem and is also being exploited a lot. i know a fare few ppl that have been killed this way and if it is a exploit in a way because of game inconsistancy im very surprised i and mates have not been reinbursed. haz

Personally I would prefer some sort of client option that being enabled would prevent any troubles with concord. But I guess that wouldn't be in line with the rest of the eve philosophy and could raise programming issues (like a drone that's repping a target, which aggresses concord, so the drone would automaticly need to stop working once that happens). ---------------------------------- Be cool, be important, colorize!!! |
