All the times I was killed recently, I always get a little shield damage on my pod, as if the last shot that killed my ship carried its damage over onto the pod. Maybe that calls concord?

Go to character screen -> security status -> right click on the security status hit and select details.
Should give you some insights to what action caused that sec hit.
You could have possibly scrammed or webbed or ewar'd the pod or the wreck which does not show up on player logs but is counted as agression and will call concord.

I checked my sec status, the sec status loss does not even show up. It should do, right?
Also no chance i attacked anything, i had nothing atall locked. I also have the setting turned on so that if i tried to commit a criminal act in empire i get a warning box pop up.

I always figured that was due to shield skills being applied wrong. As in determining your shield max amount without filling them to 100%. So the "damage" would actually be the difference between unmodified pod shield max and your modified max.
Just me guessing though. Seems a likely coding mistake. /shrug

petition it. If the GM says the logs show nothing, escalate it to a senior GM.
You shouldnt have had that sec status, and not been CONCORDed. -

It's because you placed an excellent hit with a laser. It is not supposed to be that way. Then you've been concorded and lost security status. Be warned. If it happens again Concord will pod you. Nuponi Nimedaz: "You're a pilot after my own heart, Alastra." |

in my expirence, you can warp scram and damage a pod in this situation, and concord will not come. They will only come if you out and out pop the pod...damaging it does nothing.
So, if you dont have a killmail for the pod (ie, your drones somehow got it) then the next bet would be that can you took from, or his wreck. It belonged to the guy you were agressed to....
if your enemy is using drones, and you are using drones, and you pop him, your drones will go after his drones automatically, since they are aggressed to you. I'll bet a few isks that your drones auto aggroed either the can you took from (or was it a wreck you took from?) or his ship wreck.
I know you were recalling the drones, but that command can take a few seconds to go through, and ive seen my drones shooting as they fly back to dock.

Now i think perhaps the change is that he stopped flashing red to me... which would be impossible. The fight only started around 5 minutes ago AND as the fight goes on the 15 minute aggression timer keeps reseting to 15 minutes.
it is possible that he ejected from his ship short before the explosion so your final hit was agains an uboarded ship

that couldnt be it... unboarded ships belongs to the owner...(and the corp/alliance)
and yeah, the flag stays with his ship in a non-war setting

I was using a cruiser, no smartbombs, had drones and pulse lasers on his ship till he popped and i didn't do anything to his pod.
maybe your sec standing got below the sec it can be in that system and thereby alarming concord.

Concord doesn't bother about outlaws that have a security level that's too low for system. Faction police will take care of that.
On top of that, in his case, the fight will not give a security hit to any of the two pilots involved. You can fire on a thief without a security hit, you can fire back once fired upon without a security hit.
Something caused him to get a security hit and that triggered concord. I sure would like to know what that was too though.

Yeh I hope the OP lets us know. His drones attacking the enemy pilot's drones sounds like a possible cause though.
I wouldn't hesitate to petition this.

Did he use drones? If so, your drones might have gone for those after his ship was destroyed thereby causing the concord agression. ____________

Edited by: Hammurabbi on 16/09/2007 11:34:19 This sort of ties in with what happend to me a week ago:
I was in a gang, being assisted in a mission. The assistance was in the form a of a shield repair drone coming from my gang member.
The drone was autotargetted by my ship and i accidentally target painted it. I got a messaged but didn't read it fully because of the heat of the battle.
I don't know if i actually took a shot at the drone, but next thing i know i'm in my pod scratching my head. Ship destroyed by the Concord for being bad. Ok, i can understand that, noob mistake i can learn from.
Now for the lesser part of the story: my gangmember was also flagged as bad and also shot by Concord. For helping me.
Seems like a loophole or oversight in Concord programming.

Drones auto attac when there is new entity that attacs you.
- he had a misle flying to you when his ship exploded - he gets in his pod (new entity), next the misle hits you - drone defend you couse they think the pod is attacing you
same reason way sometimes pod's show up on kill mails even do the pilot whas flying a ship when he was attacing the opponent ...
seen it befor, petition and get your ship back (if yha lucky) ...
