This seems like a problem some people have had upon trying to upgrade from trial / reactivating their accounts after the initial play time.
I can't reactivate my account with Visa, Visa Electron OR Mastercard. Every card gives "not authorised" after trying the reactivation system in the EVE website.
I've tried browsing the forums for solution but the only thing I can come up with is "get gametime code", which would either require me to get paypal account, give my phone number to a 3rd party or possibly both.
why make things this difficult? One would think CCP would WANT my money.. 
Ah well, I've opened a petition on my main account (this is just a 2 week trial), but wanted to post this here in case I'm not alone, and maybe, just maybe get some official reply to the problem too (not bloody likely I guess).

Sorta nice to see its not just me, but yea. I would think they would like to make it easier to take my money ;)

I've been having this same issue, and have also opened a petition. The only response so far has been to make sure I don't have any programs running that would be blocking my IP. Still waiting for a second response.

I went through support about a month ago with this problem, their only solution; you must cancel your account. After it expires you should (theoretically, mine hasn't expired yet) be able to use a new credit card. Incredibly inconvenient but meh.

I got the same message from CCP telling me I have something blocking my IP. But thats not true because I had my friend who lives in England(I live in the US) put in my credit card info and it still didnt work. Funny thing is that I know its on CCP end because my credit card has worked for months with no problems until 2 days ago when my billing cycle went through.

Same issue here, going from trial to pay. Hopefully they will get it fixed before I need to use a skill the trial does not allow. I must admit it does not build a lot of confidence to have what I would think is a high priority issue go on for at least 3 days. Having no response to petitions or a news posting telling us that its not just character transfers that's busted is also a blow to my confidence in their system.
My guess, either their gateway is down or more likely their new "security" system is out of whack.

Have the same exact problem. My account with stable credit card subscription got deactivated, I checked why and discovered that credit card authorization has failed. Tried to reenter credit card info – same thing. Waiting for the petition answer, and meanwhile my last skill training has completed a day ago :-/

I got the same problem for reactiving one of my account and to activate a trial too...
I tried without proxy, without firewall or antivirus but nothing to do "not authorized" message occurs every time. My credit card is ok and it works perfectly on an other mmorpg so the problem comes from ccp.

I just received a response to my petition. They are saying it might be due to the new security and suggested I cease use of any anomization (my term) programs or services. I am not using any and responded as such. I am using NAT, which I guess I could avoid my rewiring past my router, bypassing my firewalls and in general leaving myself as open as a jetcan miner running AFK. Hopefully they will respond with a solution soon.

WOOT! it took a while for the first petition to be responded to (2 days) but once a GM was on it, the problem got solved very quickly. My CC went through no problem and I have a nice shiny new account!

I had the same issue, trying to get a new account of mine. Each attempt at processing was met by not authorized - very frustrating.
As a work around I just went to this site, https://shop.battleclinic.com bought a 30 day Game Time Card and activated my account that way (works out cheaper than activating an account via the other payment methods too )

Same problem, filled a petition, GM reply was, "can you explain why your billing address is from a diferent country", my answer...WTF?? and this is from same credit card i have been using for a year now on my main Anyways, bought a GTC from one of the websites posted by CCP (one of the links under your account), within an hour i was back on eve. funny thing is, i used the same credit card. Lesson: even though i will have to buy a GTC every so many months (depending on which i buy) i would rather get them and pay via paypal, than dealing with CCP, i wonder how secured they keep my personal info if they screw things up so often  |

Aye I just had the same problem. Had a friend check my ip all is well but perfectly good card is being rejected. I submitted a petition will post if I get a reply.

I have been away for over a year, having moved since I last subscribed. I was recieving the unauthorized error, and finally had to use my old rl adress with my new credit card before payment went through. This is odd because this new Visa doesnt have my old rl adress linked to it. So basically my old adress, which is now bogus, had to be unaltered for it to accept payment. Kinda odd.

I can't reactivate my account I used to get the Not Authorised error but now there's a new one: An unexpected error has occured please try again by pressing the back button of your browser. Or something like that. I've been trying for almost a week now.

Same problem, credit card "not authorized". IP address has nothing to do with it, my credit card was in file for awhile and it just got rejected without me accessing the account. Petition was never responded, so I was forced to buy GTC from 3rd party, there is no other way as of right now.

Same here. I can't reactivate one of my accounts. The server rejects my VISA although the same card was accepted 10 days ago for another of my accounts. I think ccp does not want money anymore...

I was having the same problem, but I think I found the solution! I know that I do NOT have a static WAN IP address, and I know how to release and generate a new IP. seeing how it was an IP problem, releasing and generating it a few times it finally worked all by it's self. for those of you who don't know how to release and get a new IP, try looking in your router's manual or look online.

This means CCP billing server is blacklisting IPs or using some blacklist. Which is plainly stupid as many people use dynamic IPs.

What does IP have to do with it if you subscribe your credit card only once? And then it gets charged month-to-month without you even accessing your account. And that is how it used to work, until few days ago when all got screwed up.

Hello I got some responses from the GMs but they responded with more quetions . Their last answer was that they have done something and now i should be able to make a payment. Not true.... i still get the unknown error message.

Ok so, I am able to use my credit card while using an old bogus adress I had back a year and a half ago when I first started playing Eve. I tried to resubscribe my other account today, and after exhausting every trick in the book aka. what other peeps have tried.. small letters, different visas, what have you, Im at a loss here.
I cant use my Visa, nor my mastercard to activate this other account. I keep getting unauthorised error. These same cards are used to sub for lotro/wow/l2 and are also registered on Paypal, so there is nothing wrong with them.
After looking over the other threads regarding this issue, I wonder why there is no official post on these threads? Is ccp fixing the problem (and what an odd problem it is - dont you guys want our money? :) - whoever is in charge of accounting, should be fired. A problem such as this cannot persist for more than a very limited time at any successfull buisness. What on earth are you guys thinking.

Filed a petition and no reponse yet. Im surprised to see this thread has been around a few days. You would think this would be a TOP PRIORITY for them to fix.

It has been 5 days now, my second char account desactivated after the first month subcribtion. All my credit cards are rejected, even a brand new one.
How come CCP is not even responding except posting a thread they will try to respond to all petitions within 24 hours, after 5 days and 2 petitions, not even a reply from them, this is getting me really

I finally gave up activating my other account using a credit card ( a credit card my main account is using to subscribe without problems atm - surreal...) - so, I went to the etc retailer online called EVEgame(something) and whatdoyaknow, 14dollars for a 1 month code and I could use paypal, which has the same credit card ccp is rejecting on it. so now my alts account is active, and Im moving all assets to one account, because this is just too ******** to have to battle with each sub period. Im kissing one account goodbye by the end of subscription period if there is even a smidge of an issue with the account page.

Hello I got a reply to my petition. They say the connection is timing out and that there is nothing wrong with the account on their side. So they blame it all on me. I thanked them nicely and as soon as this account expires i will leave the EVE community. (and NO you cannot have my stuff )

It happened to me, tried to activate my account alt least 15 times in three days. Finally I was able to solve the problem using a knoppix linux CD as OS,is not needed to install linux to use it, and just tried once!

In my case I got an reply to a petition for my first account that expired last thursday that it is a problem on CCP side. They added 5 days to my account until they found a final solution.
My credit card issuer didn't even see an attempt to charge my card.
For this account I switched to direct debit (available to european customers). That reactivated it, but the transaction states a "Payment is now pending, awaiting settlement". Doesn't look final/accepted. Seems to be an alternative.
I consider to buy a bunch of ETCs for the next time this will happen. It's the second time my accounts got suspended by such problems.

I had this problem for the past few days when upgrading a trial account.
One of the other threads suggested using all lowercase for everything on the registration form. I tried that and it worked. However, I had been trying to register from home, and I was at work when I actually got it to go through.
Just one more unconfirmed thing to try, I guess.

Having same issues, I have changed nothing for over a year CC wise. Now not authorizing. No IP Anon's, Nothing seen on CC side... zip. CCP is having issues. So, I get some GTC's and use them. Then figure I would just transfer characters to a single account. (ONLY METHOD CREDIT CARD) and guess what? Same Crap!
Maybe it's a sign after all the other issues, Databases, Logins, extended DT's. Connection outages, etc. Maybe they have grown faster than they can handle, and time to just QUIT!

What really ticks me off is they cut me off in game with no warning. Well, about 5 seconds and BOOM. What if I was in lowsec? in a freighter? pvp?

Seriously, CCP:
1) revert whatever change you made to CC processing, it is breaking for way too many people 2) give a grace period on billing failures since this seems to be your fault. Something more than 5 seconds, at least. Preferably a few days to pick up a GTC. 3) stop ignoring this issue: it seems you can't reply to the many petitions individually, that merits a group response

Just had this problem appear today on my 2nd account, went to login as a skill has now finished and bam couldnt login due to account being deactivated.
I checked the "my account" area and it shows the 1 and only payment as a 5 day time card, I have been paying for this account with a visa account for months/years, the card has not run out and funds are available.
From what I can see ccp have made no attempt at collecting the latest subs payment which was due on the 20th.
Have filed a petition, hope it gets resolved quicker than some of those above  |

No solution yet for the first account. :-/ The petition was now auto-closed by the system ("timed out while waiting for customer reply"). Very funny. Big cinema. Although the account was extended by a GM with 5 day ETC, it will now expire tomorrow again.
The direct debit has also a problem as it seems. Last note of the GM: they will take a look into that. That was the update from last wednesday. Nothing happened til then.
CCP should consider to get an alternative billing partner at least as backup. This all suxx.

It would be nice to hear something offical from CCP or maybe a DEV could post in the forum and let us atleast see a we'll have the problem fixed soon (TM) sorry not too good at coding lol. Cool, i'm in a "me too" thread.
My character transfer attempts fail as well with a "not authorised" reply from the web page. I tried multiple MC credit cards that I know are valid, but it won't pass.
Obviously I petitioned the problem, but I am still waiting for any sign of life from the other end of the petition system.
What happens if the account expires before the petition is solved? Do I have to keep renewing just to be able to track the petition progress and to retry the transfer until it'll work? (FAQ says characters on non-subscribed accounts can not be transferred)

Just to let you all know, after about 1 day CCP answered my petition and the whole problem was solved soon afterwards. They even helped to fix some additional problems as a result of the subscription that expired in the mean time.

have the same problem here. sudden account deactivation. not able to reactivate it with my credit card. i now had to buy a gtc (with the same credit card!) to be able to play again. ccp billing is fubared it seems :/

Doesn't really answer the primary issue, but at least they are aware of the queue time. I'm giving up and going with GTC from now on; though that doesn't really help anyone wanting a char transfer. I can charge a $2000 computer but I can't give $15 to CCP. Seems a little silly, but what can you do?
