Cool down. There is no need to add aoe to all existet torps. Just get new (0.0 space) torpedos with AOE. 10 km with same damage as other tors. Fast ships still will get less damage cause of epl velosety and signature.
But again it will be one more ( like smart bombs / bombs/ carriers ecm etc) new thing what force ppl to not blob :). and yeah ravens will become primery :)

You are not only one who has the same ffealing about that and they call that ballance :). Still think the torps like this will be nice in game ( so long not overpowered) just imagine FC screaming on TS. : "Jump trough the gate and spread out so fast as you can cause they have 4 ravens in gang. those 4 are primery :) "
+ you need consider that not only enemy ships can be blow by gang buddy, so that mean you will need a good raven pilot in the gang who can analizing what he is doing or he probebly can fu.. up own gang with just shooting like crazy with those things :).

I belave you missed whole point of the topic. Nobody ask to boost CALDARI. I belave there is more then only caldari ships has missels hard points. But we all know caldari and non caldari races that torpedos not very much used item since the missels change. Atleast i did stop use them since the patch where those were changed and belave me or not i like more fly gun ships even though i'm caldari.
