Yes, there is. It's to prevent employers from disqualifying applicants based upon nothing more than illogical prejudices such as "they play Eve". Employers can be forced to hire said person, among other penalties. Our laws prevent employees against retribution of any kind by employers as well.

While I enjoy the sandbox gameplay the OP also has a point, it was great that the gameplay allowed you the freedom to be a sociopath, but you did not have to. The kind of people that joined EVE in the last few years are the same kind of guys that every MMO with a decent customer support would have kicked out soon enough.

A few years ago we read about huge scams, heists etc going on as events. Now we have rabble that is advertising their scam contracts in every trade hub and the space between, suicide ganks became fashion after some griefers with few PvP skills found out how to kill things that cannot shoot back without risking much.

In a way eve became a ghetto, it was always a PvP game and I would not want to have it otherwise but it has really gotten a bit out of control.

Why would anyone pay money for such a terrible game where you can only always lose (isk or nerves, doesn't matter. games are supposed to be fun; for me, I mean, its certainly fun for you guys)
