There was once a pos at a moon, that pos was destroyed. Remaining at the moon are a number of 'anchored' guns and some 'incapacitated' ones. When I try to anchor a pos at the moon i get this message:
"Notify You cannot anchor the control tower because there are one or more objects anchored within 22997 of the position you are trying to anchor at, one of which is: Small Railgun Battery."
Do the guns ever dissapear? surely i shouldn't have to destroy them all, I attacked one and it had a shed load of shield and armour hitpoints, and I didn't even dent its structure.
Seems a bit unfair that this moon can never have a pos again unless I find a fleet of pilots willing to throw away sec status.

If you're in low-sec, there's plenty of guys out there who can't get any lower sec status. Hand them money and ammo and stand clear.
And 0.0 ratting brings up sec status like crazy, btw. _______________________________

I don't have billions of isk to hire a battleship fleet, to sit there for hours shooting old pos guns.

I've found a low-sec moon with no POS and 2 ONLINE missile batteries. They don't shoot though.
If the moon has anything I'll petition.

Reduce the guns structure from 1,5 mill to 15000 and give them 99% strucutre resitance against every damage typ as long a pos is anchored next to them.
So the guns are still a ass in the pain to destroy completly when a pos is there, and nearly instant dead when the pos is gone.

What would be the effect of hardeners then? they work only on the POS shield or they work on all the structures?
I really dubt that petitioning to get them removed would get you anything. They have been placed there legittimally and removing them would be helping you.
The only exception is if you can demonstrate that they have been placed there with the clear intention of blocking a moon with interesting minerals, but unless you can find a thread where the player corp is selling the "rights" toi that moon I dubt you can demonstrate anything.

Its already been put in for kali 3, the HP reduced and the bonus from the tower increased to 0.99. The intention is also to unanchor all structures after the control tower is destroyed.

If it were up to me I'd make it a bit more exciting by making any in-capped modules explde with the tower, other modules go unanchored. that way you face the decision on whether or not to incap the guns or try to tank em so you can scoop em later.

But what about if the guns/structures were incapacitated, you can't unanchor an incapacitated gun atm.
Whilst it is a welcomed move surely blowing all structures up once the tower goes boom is a logical step.
You are in essence gifting the agressor with POS modules readily available in a system they are attacking in. They can blow up and enemy POS and then take all the other structures back to their own POS for ready for deployment.
Sorry but is it just me that sees a huge imbalance in unanchoring rather than blowing up? -- eve-guides.com POS, Outpost and Sovereignty info
