The long-awaited Goons vs. RA civil war that will take carnage to levels previously thought not to exist. TCF will then mop up the winner and France will rule all of Eve for 1000 years. Paix Francais!!

Everyone goes to war with everyone else again. The perfect world of indiscriminate fighting and no major power-blocs. 'Cause the only reason the coalition exists is because of BoB. Take BoB away, and the coalition falls apart. Ironic isn't it? ---

What, that the only way to kill the Coalition is to let it win? No, I think they've said all along that that would be the case.
But BoB will only be the beginning, once they're out, then the score-settling will begin. The goons and RA have a list of offenders, and they're going to go down it, paying off some long-held debts.

The demise of BOB is premature but lets imagine a world of Eve "without them".

By that you mean there will be only one powerblock and nobody else able to put up resistance.
That is the only way the super blob and POS warfare will be over.
Right now people have a choice, afterwards there will be no choice.

Discrimination in racistic and means of gender will cease to exist, you'll all see!! Even your POS will have a smile on their towers! And exotic dancers will finally start to interact with you. Last but not least all devs will fly to Jita and and admit that they're all time dancing around the servers naked and drunk.

If bob goes down... goons will become the new hated superpower alliance (as if their not there already) and many alliances nap to take them out with the help of all the old bob players that spread among other alliances fighting bob, most notably MC i'd imagine. This war will never end. If bob win the same will happen to goons/ra, differnce being that RA just never quit, they always come back from nothing just like bacteria. _______________________________ [ 2007.06.07 21:07:22 ] FrankyWave > ransom me guys I am joining XElas !!! |

I dont see why you should say BoB has already lost, but for the sake of getting this out of my head, I will post.
Should BoB lose, and I genuinely hope they do, I think the RSF pack will likely just start to do their own thing. I think goons will probably shard off into alot of smaller groups because I have trouble believing that without a "huge evil enemy like bob", that many people really think and play the same way. They will probably split up and inhabit the newly taken south, and life will probably go on as normal.
I really doubt RA would follow or even lead any plan to trek around the universe settling scores. I think once their enemy is gone, they will go back to stockpiling money and capitals for the next unlucky bastard to try them. As for TCF and the rest, I dont know enough about them to make an educated/uneducated guess.

Seems like the most likely scenario. I think the only thing that keeps the swarm from imploding is the war with BoB & co. I mean what's a 5000 man alliance to do if there isn't some big ass enemy to shoot at? At the very least corps like DS1, who probably only joined them for one reason, to see bob die, will leave after everything is said and done.
And yes, counting your chickens before they hatch is usually not a good idea.
I'm not involved, but I hope the war continues for some time, cause some of those goon posters are damn funny.

OK, lets assume BoB dies and dies in a way that all the skilled players get absorbed by other unrelated parties and/or go rogue. What I think will happen is that Goons will go after all the renters (I would, I loathe you all tbh, if you pay for your space you don't belong there), then there's of course rest of the pets (the famous zombie FIX, I guess MC goes to this category too and so on) and after they've gone through all that they will turn back to the original foe #1 which is BoB, this time in new corps/alliances.
So in short, nothing will really change. Just names. And hopefully less supercapitals in next round. -

The only thing that could remove BoB from EVE is a good new PvP game. And this isn't happening until next spring (if ever).
If someone takes Delve over, which is not done yet, chances are BoB would get back to it's roots and forget about the stupid POS warfare CCP forced onto us.
Whatever the outcome, I don't see EVE being fun again without a complete revamp of POSes and capitals. Hell! they'd better be ready for EVE II, just my 2 cents. ____________________ A gentleman is someone who can play the bagpipe, but who does not. |

Well, we got...
... Red Alliance... ... GoonSwarm... ... Against All Authorities...
Intersteller Alcohol Conglomerate aint too bad I guess, But I would rather join a NPC corporation before I asociate myself with any of the first three alliances...

What part of our massive disdain for most Eve politics and our total loathing of BoB's pet system gave you the impression that we have the slightest interest in owning anyone's game or being responsible for vast tract's of other people space? It takes a special kind of natural arrogance combined with a long period of non-stop***** sucking from the community, to give someone the belief that they should rule all of Eve, and BoB is the only existing entity that has combined those features and gained that opinion of itself.
The rest of us just want to enjoy freedom from jackasses like SirMolle and -DBP, and we're doing what it takes to ensure that.

Interesting post.. would like to make some comments on it..
BoB the entity can be destroyed, every entity can... ofc with BoB it won't be easy and if they lose their space their enemies would have to win the war on many fronts. I.e the idea of BoB would have to die too.... there would need to be infighting, a blaming game and the old-skool players being too tired to care about what happens to the concept of BoB. It is certainly possible... but far from a foregone conclusion.
If BoB actually disintegrates, the players will remain and most probably the corps will too.. I can't see BNC, RKK, EVOL and DICE ceasing to exist.
As for the future of EVE... forget the old pre-pos days... they are gone for ever, CCP is not going to take evolutionary steps backwards just to satisfy a percentage of vets who are jaded. What may happen however is that pos warfare may become the equivalent of nuclear warfare in RL...a last resort, something so mind-numbing that you only engage in it on a big scale if there is no other choice.
Hopefully in a post-BoB eve, things will be more multi-dimensional where the political landscape is not limited to being pro-BoB and anti-BoB... cause that really has gotten old, but unfortunately necessary.

.. oh as an addition .. one thing I would like to see the end of is the conglomeration of vets under one banner. I mean what is it with the incestuous necessity for experienced players to stick together like bum-buddies.
I mean do you really need hundreds of 40m+ skillpoint players in the same alliance... get out there and spread yourselves around. Make things interesting use some creativity instead making skillpoint blobs.
Its boring.... anyways one can hope.
