Maybe you have a point, but I still have to read a post from someone who loves POS wars.
On the other hand, the boards are flooded with disgruntled pilots who simply hate the 'job' POS wars imply and the never-to-be-solved lag that comes with it.
The first to say 'screw it' were 5.
They simply gave up their space to RA and went on rampage mode.
It didn't turn out too well for them, no clue about how BoB could handle the same situation, since it's now more likely than ever that they'll have to.
Sorry to repeat myself, but as an old (20+ years) pen & paper gamemaster, I've seen it countless times: once a gamemaster, in this case CCP, starts giving the players bigger and bigger weapons and magical objects, the faster his campaign goes to sh8.
Battleships should have stayed top of the line weapons, it is, IMHO, a severe mistake to introduce more of the same, only bigger.
The worst failure being DD weapons.
What CCP should do, again IMHO, is introduce new ways of fighting, refraining from giving into the escalation path.
They succeeded to some extent (interceptors, command ships, stealth bombers) but went overboard with firepower, stucking themselves in a never to be solved balance problem.
If BoB crumbles and is forced back to Empire, it will be the final demonstration that shooty-shooty PvP is dead in EVE.
BoB might not be the most impressive PvP force ever seen in any online game, but they are still one of the best PvP entities in EVE, with above par pilots, fleet commanders and industrialists.
Maybe you're right Nez, and EVE is not the place to be for vets anymore.
Adapt or leave I guess.

I also very much doubt we'll see standing resets the way some expect, sure some will be attacked by their former allies Ragoons as they no doubt will seek to expand their influence even more.
This is what RA did before and learning from the past they'll no doubt keep goons close to themselves.
That said it always goes up and down in eve, how conscious people will be aftewards depending on which side wins is hard to predict.

Now that is funny ****. Just because BoB could not fight a multi-front war they are dieing? I am not a fan of BoB (or the Goons), but they are not going anywhere soon.
BoB is going to pound IAC into dust and then go back to they way they did things in the past, slow, steady, and lethal.
They might have been thwarted, but they cetainly have not been defeated. Winning a battle does not win a war, at least not in this game.
BTW, tell Mollie and DB to pay their pet fees soon, I have mouths to feed!

I predict people will keep fighting, and if RA/AAA/Goonswarm never come to blows internally, will control much of 0.0 like BB wanted to, only they won't have to fire a shot to do so,because there won't be anyone that can fight/blob against them effectively.
But peace returns? Pfft, who goes to 0.0 for peace?

After BoB we do in fact have a hitlist, and it's not a difficult one to figure out.
We will never turn on our brosefs, they would whipe 0.0 with us.
GS will most likely go back to GF and epsilon will be kicked out.

DB left bob months ago, along with loads of others that joined up with tri, infod, CI and various other elite pvp corps. I mean, bob leadership went from picking out the elite to join their alliance to letting half of LV and finfleet in, things kinda went tumbling down from there..

The only thing killing BOB is the lack of targets and the new game mechanics. All the vets in EVE have quit, we miss the old days and most of are waiting for a new PVP game. The one im testing seems pretty good and most of us oldschool players will just move on..
Capitals and POS's ruined EVE and destroyed the PVP in this game..
Goons are nothing in PVP.. I've fought them in the past and it was like shooting fish in a barrel. Ya for boring BoB to death.
I wasn't even a member of bob and I know what they are going through..

If Bob was to at some point forced to surrender do you have any idea how long that might take given the current game Mechanics? (We should not be seeing a repeat of the retreat of D2)Look at how much time it is taking for Ragoon to make headway into BoB space.
Plus who is going to hold all those conquered systems & regions because its just not going to be Ragoon. History shows that you need to get a strong Alliance that wants to move into an area of space to hold it because currently I can think of only two Alliance that should be more then ready that being OSS & Bruce.
So even if BoB surrenders some time in mid or late 2008 I do not see Ragoon being able to dominate the way that Bob has given that the non Alliance forces have their own seperate agends with only 1 thing in common being to prevent the domination of a single powerblock.
