Really gets to me 
My top five is :
1. When people wake up in bed together and kiss. Who the hell kiss before they have brushed their teeth and gotten rid of morning breath?
2. Sound in space, and spacecraft with one single nozzle that turns like a plane thats flying in atmosphere.
3. Movies where people have been stabbed or impaled by a sword/knife. When people pull out the knife it makes a sound you can only get when you rub metal against metal
4. People who are shot multiple times and starts to shake and dance. The bullets passes right through you especially if they are FMJ's.edit : And how blood explodes outwords of the entry wound
5. Unlrealistic car chaces. A bus cant drive and turn doing 100mph. nd who the hell places explosives on a bus that will detonate if you dont drive fast enough?

People don't jump and dance when being barraged with bullets because of the push. But I would think if you got shot with bullets you're reactions would make you pull away "with your own muscles"
Also in theory if a ship in space was vibrating "sound" you could detect it and synthesize the sound for better spacial awareness. It's the explaination in EVE. Makes perfect sense.

1: Not a barrier for most people who want their morning nookie.
2:, 3:, 4: and 5: all agreed though.
My pet hate- guns of unlimited ammunition. Why is it that when Arny is surrounded by baddies, he can hammer away with an M16 for 20 minutes without ever stopping to reload. And then as soon as his "main adversary" walks in, he points his gun at them and gets a comedic "click click click", resulting in a strategically placed fist fight?
I mean for christ sake, you can only fire an assault rifle continuously for a matter of seconds, not minutes, before you need to reload. Thats why *real* soldiers fire in nice controlled bursts.

I hate the one guy with a handgun (don't care which one) is totally OMGWTFBBQPWNing one rifle equipped enemy after another and never misses, although the guys with the automatic rifles do

When a human being it struck by a bullet a few things will happen. One of those that does NOT is a person being thrown back. In many cases the shockwave that passes through your soft tissue from the bullet's hydrostatic pressure (drop a rock into a river and watch as the water spreads apart and then collapses) strikes your nervous system. This shock effect will cause your nervous system to become confused and go numb. Some of you might have felt similar effects if you've had a bad tumble and your entire body is tingly and you feel ill. This makes your body drop like a bag of water. This is often mis-represented in bullet debates involving "stopping power" and in not a constant effect (documented reports of multiple mortal wounds but still standing and even running). Some of you might have felt similar effects if you've had a bad tumble and your entire body is tingly and you feel ill even though your head was unhurt.
How your body is balanced when this happens determines how you will fall and how dramatic it will be. Most often than not a human body falls backwards as the knees give out and bend causing you to balance backwards. The best example is a popular video of an American medic being shot by an insurgent sniper team. Even though the bullet doesn't penetrate his armor and the armor absorbs most of the force the shockwave paralyzed his body momentarily, his knees go weak, and he drops like a rock (he gets up right away though  ).
Just for the record, sound in EvE is generated digitally for the sake of the pilots. The explanation is found in the short story "Jovian Wetgrave" in the Backstory section of this site.
"As you know there is no sound in space, but when we were developing the capsules we found that people wanted to use as many of their senses as possible, thus we added the sound. By letting a computer create three dimensional sound we also add to the awareness you have while in battles, for instance."

Any number of sci-fi conventions Star Wars defined.
Special mention goes to Michael Bay for getting his HEAT mixed up with his sabot and for, I think, still getting it wrong in Transformers although I think I forgive him for having Megan Fox in there.
