Tried to stay true to my old avatar's look.
But the lack of hairstyles and revealing outfits (like the gallente avatars of old) made me a sad panda.
Resorted to a hooker look, then added some outfits when the Nex store came along. |

Well, of course. I usually don't have anything else but a hint of what i do intend to achieve. Make up is carefully thought out and so I usually end up with exactly what I was looking for, but poses are born out of improvisation and a certain concept.
For this portrait, I aimed at a picture with conflicting directionality, the body going to the left, the head to the right. Then I tinkered with the mouth and figured a good "huh, who's there?" impression and fine tuned it for two versions, then rated the avatar and fine tuned it for a the third and fourth versions. The fourth is final and is the one you can see now.
Also count on four unsaved approaches before and inbetween versions, and all in all i likely put some 5 hours into this portrait.
And in some weeks, I will grow bored of it, or will have a "huh, i should try this" idea and will start all over again. 
The sad being, this portrait and Ishtanchuk's are all the fun I have had with EVE for the last 2 months...  |

Now that I've had time to get used to them, I like my portraits. One of my alts is my favorite, and another alt is my least-favorite because CCP didn't include the awesome composite Amarr helmets in new chargen.
I hate the new wardrobe in general. Yeah yeah, no one cares, but the wacky costumes many races used to have (like Gallente plastic bubble helmets) are now replaced with uninspired khaki, black, navy blue and olive drab for the most part.

I only had the pleasure to talk to one IRL once (yes, I have an interesting job, most of the time).
Not sure if 3 kills already qualify for "serial", though.
