Odium47	Posted - 2007.10.03 18:22:00 - [9] LoL, the main killer of amarr ships was the Curse, but it was nerfed. Now, if i am not mistakin, the serial killer is the Vagabond in competition with the Crow. Usually people use recons: fast, hard shield and armor, expandable, great dps.

Piracy is the name of the game, so the Drake is a clear leader (bait), followed by the Megathron (duh) and a list dominated by recons and other cloakers. Many of our pilots can fly Amarr, but are choosing specialist plaforms such as the sniper Eagle instead. And the Crow is the one-size-fits-all tackler, only two pilots dare to be different. The only mystery is why the Curse and Pilgrim are not on the list, but Amarr ships as a whole are not terribly well suited to setting gank traps, so there is an operational bias against them. At the moment there is no function they fit significantly better than another race's counterpart. Logoffs

The arbitrator seems fairly nice, but I havent yet found the perfect setup for it post nos nerf.

You're an idiot. When you talk about how goods stats of a ship are it's useless if you aren't comparing it to anything. Recons have at best mediocre dps. It will never, ever, ever be great by any standard. Not all recons are of the cloaking variety, no recon can tank well, and recons have crappy cap. I've only ever lost one recon, and it was because my cap died and then I couldnt escape. Never, ever post again you clueless twit.

There are also 4 caldari, 5 minmatar and 7 gallante. Our old board only shows top 10 out if which 2 are amarr, armageddon at nr 1 and absolution at nr 9. Our old board is even more gallante heavy with just 1 minmatar (hurricane at nr 10) and 1 caldari (flycatcher at nr 5) in the top 10. The other 6 are all gallante. A lot of players between a year and a year and a half old tend to go either towards Gallente (the classic PvP monsters) or Minmatar (soon to be speed nurfed). Amarr and Caldari pvp pilots are rare - but thats more about the skill levels involved then anything else methinks.

But i think the big factor in that is that those are being flown by like 3-4 year old characters that went amarr in the beginning when they were seriously overpowered.
