not that i condone this in any way.. but with all the lame ness of nano's and logons witch still are very popular in the syndicate region.. no idea where these kills to place if i was in a cap caught by a log on damn straight it would be self destructed, no little whine ass logon trap asshat is getting a killmail off me becuase hes lame enough to abuse the game mechanics

Self Destructing is the last resort weapon of psychological warfare, i wish we could damage the enemy ships around with it too, would be a nice final act touch.

If you're measuring your e-peen by the number of killmails you get, why don't you go play WoW or something? I mean hell, they get made bonuses for the more kills they get. You had a "job," to blow up the enemies ship. So what if your enemy decided to "scuttle" their ship instead, you still did the job of ensuring it got destroyed. Quit whining about killmails, it went boom, that's all that matters. Hate pvp'ers that only rely on killboards to measure their worth, when they don't realize killboards are worthless...

Its not right up there with WCS or disco'ing to save your ship its a viable ingame mechanic to deny the enemy a killmail and loot.

If the enemy is heavy on ECM (not that they shouldn't) I'd self destruct, if I lost an actual fight, I would let the ship go down and give you the loot.
Or if I just didn't like whoever was killing me, I'd self destruct.

Its also generally has the effect of upseting the killers so really coming to the boards and moaning about it was a bad move.. i do agree however its pretty sad but some people hate losing and do anything they can to ease the pain

Hadn't realised i could do this 
However, just a small Q, why is it wrong to deny anougher player my ship modules etc? They are hurting 'me' by killing my ship, to prevent them gaining from my missfortune of jumping/getting stuck by an unbeatable force. (theoretically Question as not been in situation as yet)

Thank you for letting me know that this activity upsets you so much. I'll be sure to SD the next time I am close to losing a capital. You may think its 'Lame', but I'll look at it as a final act of Defiance. I'd be very happy to ruin your day that way if I had no other option.

I don't see it as a problem that needs fixing.
Self Destruct is the last laugh. A final flip-the-bird before getting another ship out of the station and doing something else. If anything, they need to buff SD by giving people self-destruct rigs that produce a mini DD blast when the ship goes up.
