Is this considered the same as Ore can flipping? Lame?
Seems a bit more honorable than Ore can flipping trying to get a miner to fire on you.
At least the belt ratters are loaded for battle and not mining.
I evaluate my intended, steal their freshly kilt NPC wreck. When I go all flashy to them they have the luxury of evaluating me, engaging, call their buddies or corpies in or flee.
If they do nothing for a couple/few minutes after flashy I know either A)They calling in the calvary. or B)They ain't stoopid.
I've found that if I choose intended ones that are approx. the same EvE-age as I, then the chances of them just opening up on me are far greater than them fleeing or calling in a reaction force.
So far it's been lots of fun.

How does this fall into the category of wreck "flipping" as opposed to wreck stealing? I mean, you haven't flipped anything... you took something.
In fact... I don't even think you can flip a wreck in practice. Yeah, maybe in theory, assuming 2 wrecks are close enough to each other to flip. But even then why would anyone be storing anything inside a wreck?
No, no, no... nothing seems right about this. I suggest you go back and find the correct definition of "Ore can flipping" and the mechanics involved.

Not the same IMHO. The reason it's called can flipping is because you don't so much steal their stuff, as you move it into a can of your own, trying to trick them into looting it, thus being flagged as a thief to you. In this case you are simply stealing their stuff and hoping they open fire on you. |

I believe the proper term is baiting. Though i think that involves you dropping a can too. meh, I guess it just taking someones crap and laughing at them when the run away, or shooting them when they stick around?

Regardless sounds like your enjoying yourself. So continue on taking stuff from people.

Easy. You loot the wreck, then kick the stuff out of your ship into a jet-can. Then, when your 'victim' takes his loot, he's stealing from you, and your "wreck flipping" just worked like can flipping.

Ya there is, trouble is they roam in packs.
I want to, oh lawdy I WANT to go more lowsec and 0.0, but that will have to wait until a 0.0/lowsec corp recruits me. I can't take on mini-blobs all by my lonesome.
However I did take on a Typhoon in my Stabber.
While bored and roaming around in a complex, in my Stabber, I came across a solo typhoon. I figured "what the heck" and swooped in and began stealing from his wrecks. He did nothing. So I just began ratting myself and continued robbing his kill-wrecks.
Some time passed and 'lo and behold I noticed his missles spanking me and his Heavy drones on my tail.
I was speed tanking his missles and outrunning his drones pretty well so I open fire on his drones. After popping 2 of the 4 he reels the remaining two in. I start unloading everything this little ship gots on the 'phoon.
Not much DPS to really hurt him.... slowly chewing thru his shields though. Then I realize the dang NPC's are chasing me! Ok, I warp off to a gate, do a 180, warp back in to see the NPC's shooting him.
"He's tanking that pretty well." I think as I'm approaching my orbit distance, "Let's see what happens when I add my little DPS to that."
This is what happened:
2007.10.07 16:38
Victim: Some character born on Mar/04/06 Alliance: NONE Corp: XXXXXXX-XXXXXXXXXX INC Destroyed: Typhoon System: Can I say Where? Security: 0.5
Involved parties:

Destroyed items:
Large F-S9 Regolith Shield Induction Cataclysm Cruise Missile, Qty: 1040 (Cargo) Local Power Plant Manager: Reaction Shield Flux I Mark I Generator Refitting: Shield Flux And a whole bunch of Stuff!! Dude had a full Cargo Hold
I got a few nice Tech II Items from his wreck.
Does this meet the requirements for a 'Yarr'?
