CCP, I suppose this is a bug, because of the crippling effect it would have on mission-runners and ratters.... it's a bug, right? ------------------------------------------

Originally by: Xequecal I expected some kind of ratting nerf. Ratting needs no special skills or ship, and when it's far more profitable than things that do, (mining) there is a problem. You get more minerals from blowing up BS rats and melting down the loot than you do from actual mining.
More low-end minerals, true, but taht's why the new types of asteroids seem to be for: provide a lot of low-ends minerals in 0.0, and at the same time remove the need of mineral compression to move low-ends from empire.
Update: Someone from CCP has spoken in singularity: this isn't a bug, but a tentative to stop mineral compression. ------------------------------------------

Edited by: Shadowsword on 06/10/2007 21:43:36 Tested hunting in belts: the Npcs still drop T1 mods, with 100m3.
killed a 500k BS, looted what reprocess well: a 100mn ab, a 1600 plate, a dual 425mm autocanon. Guess what? cargo three-quarters full.
Start grinding your standings, it looks like you're going to do missions in high-sec to replace your ships... ------------------------------------------

For those who say it's to help T1 producers. Seriously, how many ratters bother selling their T1 loot on the market?
The huge majority melt them to produce ships, they don't bother putting dozens of sell orders on hte market for minimal profits... ------------------------------------------
