if anything people who play eve have more of a life than other MMOG players.. the only grind is for gear in this game (as opposed to gridning for both char advancement and gear) -----------------------------------

While that may be true, to a certain extent, you're missing the fact that in EVE you most often need to stay online for longer periods of time to do something interesting. 0.0 roaming gangs are a prime example of this, you really can't afford to suddenly log out or you'll have to pull your ship out of hostile space the next day. I guess it comes with EVE being a game that rewards teamwork more than your average MMO.

I have no life because I work too much, not because of eve. Eve just happens to be on my schedual, and not a whole lot of other things -- let alone people -- are.

Edited by: Zosana on 07/10/2007 02:35:26 I failed my last semester due to playing far too much \o/, and not liking what I was studying. After that I took a long break from eve and now everything is cool and under control.
As for evers having no life, well it depends really. Only you can dictate how much, if at all, you play.

Im sure top alliance leaders have no life, seem slike a lot of horse crap to deal with.
Here is a story said alliance is attacking a station/POS in another said alliance territory. Mind you it's very late and it's the work week, **** is really hitting the fan and the alliance leader gave his number out to director's saying if something serious happens call him.
To round up the story it's 3 in the morning he receives a phone call and actually gets up comes on vent and starts giving directives and such, mind you he has to get up for work in about 3 hours and he went ot bed at 12:00. So ya some players have no lifes outside of EvE.
As for me im married, have a 2 month old boy and work a fair bit but i do play some EvE more then my fair share i will add.
But by no means do i want to get a phone call saying "yo hells log on our POS is going down" lol TBH who the **** cares.

I have a pretty nice life here, in a gurista asteroid hideout complex. All that sexeh gallente and amarr chicks for my pleasure, drugs and all the things you need for a good life, can't complain.
What do you mean with no-lifeness and computer games ? Are you one of those religious fanatics that beliefe our universe was designed by some supernational developers and that you have an existance somewhere else than here in this universe ? I think its all superstition and ther's no proof, everything you see here is evElution ... oh i hear a hostile frigate is entering our system, it's time for work, cya
