As the T2 battleships has been added to the SiSi database I couldn't resist trying out some invention.
This is the result.
Unfortunately that is as close to a T2 battleship we can come right now as the Battleship Construction skill isn't seeded yet...

Anyone knows what's the ideal number of runs of the T1 BPC ? You know like 15 on cruiser/bc , 10 on barges .
I'm putting my BS BPOs for copying and i was wandering how many runs should i have per copy .
Thx .

You want 1 run or max runs. To figure out max runs, in the runs field type 1000. It will default to max runs.

Was hoping CCP would be nice and would leave them all at 4.
But no, they cant, can they.

THAT all depends on how long that level 4 takes to train, doesn't it? Some of us who are T2 specialists (and have been for years, buying other people's BPCs pre-invention) already have all those skills and invention has made Starship Engineering 5 and Mechanical Engineering 5 useful skills - I have those in two races already and I'm sure I'm not the only one.
This will seperate the amateurs from the pros... and money doesn't make the pro...
My advice to those who don't already have the skills by the time these are inventable - consider staying in cruiser construction - because by the time you get there, the profit margins will be lower and people will be migrating away from there to build these new ships. T1 BS supplies will also need a boost when these start to disappear from the market. :)
I just hope the datacore and decryptor prices stabilise soon or the guys are hoping to build them and can't, but with money to burn, might cripple those of us on tighter budgets.

Do you have to use the correct R.DB's for the version of the ship you want or is it just a simple "pick what you want?"

@ Qual and Dominique, you are wasting training time by training Astronautic Engineering. They accidentally got seeded with the other sciences at 10mil a pop, but have no function (at least not yet) you cant hire the agents or collect datacores. This is now a collectors skill only as it has been removed from the NPC market.
More interesting however is the output selection tab. It allows you to choose to invent faction ships. Not saying that it can be done, but I will try to invent Vigilants just to check :)
But I was under the impression one would have to select an RDb to choose which type to invent, although at present that is not the case on Sisi.
Selling PERFECT PRINTS of every seeded T1 BPO: modules, rigs, drones, ammo and ships (3 ships missing), and most capital modules too! Also any INVENTED T2 BPC and max run invention prints in bulk! |

It's just pick what you want right now, no R.Db's needed.

beg to differ, I tried one of my R&D agents with Astronautics and not only did he accept me but I started clocking up RP's, I planned to take him up to 50 points to see if any Cores were offered but he was a lvl 1 low quality agent giving about 12 Rp's a day (skill was at lvl 1). I transfered back to Mech Eng having proved the point.
Out of game at present but it was Duvolle if I remember. probobly the agent in Ainalle

I wonder if CCP plans to do anything about the datacore supply. The markets have gone nuts, and we are still weeks from Rev 3. Datacores & Decrytper prices are skyrocketing. Demand will far outstip supply. T2 module production & older t2 ships will become even less (or not at all as some are now) profitable to invent/build.

This is a bit scary. Looks like you might need a POS with a Advanced Medium Ship Assembly Array for Heavy Dictors and an Advanced Large for Battleships...both of which can only be anchored in lowsec. Hello extra cost/hassle/risk.
...or it's because the ships aren't supposed to be being tested yet and don't even have bonuses hammered down.

That would be the biggest kick in the balls man, it took me a few minutes to process the picture, I was trying to figure out why it disturbed me.... (it is late here, I will blame it on the time)

I think it's just an old bug showing up where not all T2 ship classes are associated with the factories by default. After all we had an identical issue when the T2 frigs / interdictors got their own ship type classifications a few patches ago.

i was actually just wondering though, if the market price for datacores and decryptors is going crazy, and older Tech 2 ships may become less profitable, and people seeling datacores and/or decryptors could make a fortune, and people are hoarding these things already, and the tech 2 market could just yo-yo when Rev 3 comes out..... Mechanical Eng. Datacores dropped in the last months from 5 mil to 1 mil a piece, now they rise again above 2 mil and probably over 3 even because of the price hype because of the upcoming new t2 ships with Rev 3.
That is a perfectly normal phenomenon and they will drop again after that, if you had thought ahead and had stocked yourself with datacores before Rev 3 came close like all the other smart people did because the price rise was all too predictable you nwouldnt have that problem now.
More and more people are starting to produce Mechanical Datacores so in the long run the price will fall further until other types become more profitable.
Hey, you can bet that t2 component prices and mineral prices will also rise with Rev 3 introduction, you want to do ccp something about that too? It is a market phenomenon and expected, so work with it.

Indeed, and doesnt makes much sense either, considering that stuff like Assault frigs or command ship do need frigate and cruiser construction V respectively too.
But then, CCP hasnt made many changes/suggestions that made a terribly lot of sense lately anyway ...

Is it just me or are the material requirements a bit on the high side? When comparing the difference between cruisers and battlecruisers that is.
Granted, the first requirements we saw on SiSi were ridiculously low, but this seems rather high.... .
