I must be a strange person as I haven't even downloaded Portal yet, but have just completed Episode 2.
Episode 2 is rather awesome though.

Just finished Portal.
Total time 2.2hours :( man its short but man it is the funniest game i have played in a long time.
I dont wanna spoil bits for anyone so cant mention details. but the credits are hilarious. i need to find me a copy of that song :D
Tommorow will be Episode 2 day.

Summary of Orange Box:
TF2 - Pure multiplayer bliss. Best online FPS ever, and best looking game ever.
Portal - So funny. It just keeps going when you expect it to end. Whole thing is one long game, rather than lots of little puzzles. GLaDOS is just so funny
Episode 2 - Best Half-Life EVER! Start is amazing. End is amazing. Middle is amazing. Halo 3? **** that! Half Life 2 : Ep 2 = Game of the year. I've never wanted to play / watch / read a sequel as much as I want to now.

Portal is amazing in a harsh, funny sort of way. I loved it.
I tried to like TF2 SO much but I just couldn't. The gameplay and balance seems extremely unrefined and anything but Explosive Spam and Spies seems hideously ineffective (or maybe it's just me?)
haven't played EP2 yet, it's still downloading (curse my 512k) - I've heard nothing but good things though so looking forward to it

Demomen are dead in a second if they come into sight. Snipers just need a little glimpse to get a kill.
I've found spies to be horridly ineffective now, since i simply shoot *everyone*, and if they die, they're a spy. A simpler method of spotting them would be this: Why would a Pyro be going back to your own base? Or any other class apart from an engineer? And if they're an engineer, why aren't the building something? The funniest moments with spies are when you see yourself walking in front of you - And when you kill the guy, he asks how you knew.
Demomen are very annoying when played right though, but then you simply need more people to work together on your team. There is no impenetrable defense, there are only bad attacking teams. I've seen so much whining already about not being able to get into the other's base, when it's just a matter of going there with 2 or 3 people, or more, as it's supposed to be.
You just need to learn the game, and try to get everyone doing what they should be doing. Try and give out orders, there's always a couple of good people who will actually try to work together - And you only need a couple.

Kind of disappointed with how fast Portal went by. But Episode 2 made up for everything.

TF2 = Amazing fun.... IF... and if i could do a bigger IF i would... your playing with friends. or in a clan or something. i cant stand to play another pickup game anymore. the amount of morons on every server amazes me.
Its like im cursed with have people who cant work as a team. Im either the only medic with no heavy or anybody to heal. or theres no spies to take out turrets. etc etc.
And man i know its TF2 but the amount of fkin camping going on. when your on a 12v12 with 8engineers on 1 team you know you just gotta find a way to punch people in the face via email.

It crashes whenever I go through the first portal at the start.

I didn't do anything to "get" it to work. Check your settings and make sure your hardware can handle them. Can you run Ep1? Ep2? The original HL? ;D

I have too many fond memories from team fortress classic. no way i can pass up the long awaited sequel. i was always a sniper. it was so hard to be accurate with a 56k connection but i got the hang of it somehow.

No idea how laggy it will be producing them in a highly detailed environment though. Portal was minimalistic for a reason.
