Last night Windows does a mandatory no choice update and whines at me to install them. i tell it to fudge off. Then when i shut off the computer for the night it ofc installs them. I get up this morn turn on pc. load up steam unlock the new games. Play portal for 45mins. go do some work. come back to a BSOD Restart. everything seems fine for 45mins. leave it for 5mins getting a drink and come back to a BSOD. Now the 2 times i have started up steam. my pc has crashed. the logical conclusion here is portal or Episode 2 or summat has something that vista doesnt like :( WHYYYYYYYY Portal is hilariously awesome to as far as i have got Here comes the sig............. If it appears, it will be more like in a controlled environment, like with the tweaked gravity gun. That said, there's a strong chance of it appearing in ep3 though. Also, one other snippet of info: In the Portal developer commentary, there's an interesting sentence to be found. "In the first Portal game..." I and a few of my friends have all had problems with it crashing. mine was on test 14 my friends on test 6, one on test 8, one on the opening menu. All of them now work after deleting and re-downloading the game. I have completed all the advanced difficulty maps o/ But man those use least portals and least steps and least minutes are a total b**** the least portals isnt to bad once you get the hang of it. but man. least steps? i cant get my brain around it. and the least time is annoying me to. cant even do it bronze style yet. Also i read that the kind of game portal was going to come back as depended on its success. There is options of a straight portal 2. or a tie in with HL2 etc etc. I read it as if it was really popular which it really seems to be. they are just going to make sequel sorta thing. And tbh using it in HL2:EP3? i would doubt it. way to hard to incorporate. and SPOILER Did you all not see the projector bit ranting about BlackMesa etc? 2 different companies. Generally laptop cards aren't properly supported driver-wise because they seem to rely on the manufacturer of the laptop, rather than of the graphics card itself. In these situations I tend to use a third party driver like the Omega Drivers, which work with them, and keep them updated. --- The Cake Is A Lie ---
