yay my schools game is finally making it's way into the world!

if you don't know what I'm talking about 3 students where hired 2 years ago as juniors for digipen, portals orginal form can be found on www.digipen.edu under the download section along with the rest of the games were producing. it's called...Nacelural dorp, and I spell but you'll find it :)

Is Portal really going to be all that excellent?
I tried the freeware game (whatever it is called) that is supposedly similar and frankly all it did was give me a headache.

think Narbacular Drop, but much easier to see, better textures, more complicated gameplay, and a gun for one thing. basicly when Kim Swift go hired by valve he decided to step it up a nouch.

completed portal in about an hour, little disappointing, and wont be playing ep2 as i havent finished ep1 yet (cause it sucked).

Haha I went to play CSS at around 1 PM CST, I had forgot all about the midnight release. Needless to say I ended up playing and finishing portal which is a really sick game. I had a lot of fun and it was very amusing. I just wish it was longer. =(
Kinda lucky I ended up being off work tonight. Working nights ftw.

well this is fun.
Had portal an Episode 2 preloaded for ages.
Last night Windows does a mandatory no choice update and whines at me to install them.
i tell it to fudge off. Then when i shut off the computer for the night it ofc installs them.
I get up this morn turn on pc. load up steam unlock the new games.
Play portal for 45mins. go do some work. come back to a BSOD
Restart. everything seems fine for 45mins. leave it for 5mins getting a drink and come back to a BSOD.
Now the 2 times i have started up steam. my pc has crashed.
the logical conclusion here is portal or Episode 2 or summat has something that vista doesnt like :(
