Culdees	Posted - 2007.10.13 02:41:00 - [39] who cares what it looks like. the current designs/looks of everything are fine, or i should say as fine as they could be for your artists. more time on core design and less time on bling please!. the world really is just about bling now isnt it?! 50 man years could see the whole package rewritten in assembly added with the most slick networking there is as long as none of that time was spent on art. i suppose it makes sense in a business point of view to appeal to the new and repeat players seeing as how most players will not play for more than a year, but how about trying to keep some of them by working on current bugs with the ultimate goal of achieving large fleet battles in an acceptable manner.

Ixianus	Posted - 2007.10.13 04:13:00 - [41] Given the size that the ship is supposed to be.... By my rough eyeball guesstimation these new windows are like 150-200 feet square..... This seems like a bad idea for a ship thats going to have massive truck size projectiles, antimatter, high energy lasers, huge nuclear missiles, and a variety of other things thrown at it. This new ship looks like something you'de find floating in a bathtub with an 8 year old. Old Ship please, or at least bring the same feeling of the ship to the new engine. This has been a problem overall with the new ships as far as I'm concerned. It looks like the new Starcraft as well, plastic plastic plastic. Turning everything to plastic turns away my love for huge death machines.

It was only renamed from Rev III to Trinity because it didnt include factional warfare. Anyway, i agree with the other posts here.. that geddon looks way out of scale, you need smaller windows, and more of them. Those large windows make the ship seem like a cruiser.

The VEXOR? no comprassion, it's fantasic. but all of them as I showed them said the ammar ship was too shiny. I tried to denfend it by saying that they are gold plated... but they were kinda right. Now with the new example on the front page, you seem to have made the texture less WOOSH! SHINY! but the windows.. look just like the windows on the ammar frigate in the art book. ok I'm done the point is, Even people (jeff,adam,talon) who don't even play eve, didn't like the ammar battlecruiser. that should say something. I'm sorry but that ship looks really ugly... the old one looks better... which is sad... Actally Cagot, you bring up a good point. A great Isk Sink would be to allow Ships to be washed and turned intothe shiny versions....
