Ok. I'd like more space in the eve universe. I.E. more systems, in all directions.
Press....

Yup. Could defo do with some more systems. For the amount of people playing and the numebr of corps/allaince, could very much use it.

3- People crowd on the few 0.0 stations. People crowd on the few good agents. People crowd on the few market hubs.
The 3rd can't be fixed, the two others are design issue : adding good agents elsewhere, pirate factions build new stations, outpost costs (but, well, seems like the number of outposts is growing). -- Pocket drone carriers (tm) enthousiast !

Remove local, add more celestial objects, and single solar sytem would be large enough for entire eve comunity.

1.
Eve is only crowded if you live in Jita.
Seriously, they COULD do some restructuring to make population flow more even, but really, there is plenty of space. ------------------------------------------

I you look at the map you will see that there are allaince controlled territories in parcatically every 0.0 const. The idea of giving more spac would be for the rising players to inhabit maybe at least one system and continue to grow. Thus maybe moving in the direction of territorial wars on a larger scale, more tactic's. more team work. more organization. More of a simulation and less of a pew pew game. Yes there are empty spaces but none that are easily accesible without gettin ganked. more space would mean more people could join in the tactical pew pew and not just the top few. (which would also mean more pirating oppertunities, more locations for gate camps, etc....) We still gotta wait for jove space to open if it ever does.
edit>>>>> i forgot to mention it would allow the population to spread out more and reduce lag elsewhere. "I know that you believe that you understood what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant" |

2: expansion is always good. 3: I cant go more then 3 jumps in .0 space without bumping into someone. space is vast, it should reflect this.
4: doubleing the space would fix all the above problems, it isnt realy bad yet, but with ships able to warp in fleets now... space is becoming much smaller.

EVE Doesn't need more systems it needs to use the systems it has more effectively. More belts mostly along with balancing the systems out mainly meaning getting rid of the negative sec levels. Alliances are spread out because of the current system. A single person can chew up an entire 0.0 system for belt ratting. We don't need expansion we need better systems that more people can inhabit at once. -----------------------------------------------

sigh,, not everything is about the pew pew, i would like to see more space,, but what would be easier would be to put npc stations in the empty systems in empire,, this will help spread out the industrial guys and stop the pebble mining , hell dt rushes to mine veld is just plain silly, so give us more useable space but yeah,, 0.0 is fine, seeing as a good 60+% of the playerbase stay in empire 0.0 will be ok for a while

Edited by: Koval on 28/10/2007 05:45:12 4 and I doubt that doubling the space size would make everything good as it should be, there's alot of new alliances who would like to have their own space, now it's impossible to get any. In the old times there was a lot of space unclaimed by anybody, like a wild west and alot of 0.0 space to explore. Now there is no piece of 0.0 whithout somebody in it.

Actually the rewards are out there for people enterprising enough to set up mining POS in systems without stations. Since freighters can now dock at them too, hauling the ore to somewhere to refine isn't such a problem. So I'd actually have more systems without stations (though not too many more)
Don't need more space, just more rewards for low sec. New low sec boosters should help, need more stuff like that

This i think really would be nice, assuming ofc items in one empire area could not be obtained in the other forcing trade pirating trade routs like that would be genuinely fun.
N.B Jove systems still haven't been opened, think of them before expansion

CONCORD outposts. Blips of high-sec in the sea of 0.0 systems.
They'd quickly become market hubs, and probably mean the 0.0 around them was constantly contested. It'd be..interesting.

I remember when I could be in 0.0 for weeks without seeing anyone else in local. Not any more.
A few years ago there were about 8,000 players online on a Sunday with roughly 5,000 systems. Now there are about 30,000 players in the same number of systems.
With that math we need about 15,000 more systems added to the Eve universe.
