Exactly one year ago I released a short promotional video about a corporation called Outbreak, a corporation forged amidst the smoke and sinew of long forgotten battles taking her first steps into the cosmos.
Three-hundred and sixty-five days later. Has Outbreak changed? She's bigger. Thanks to her excellent HR division she's grown from approximately eighty members to over two-hundred. She's better. She has more equipment at her disposal than ever before, with trained pilots to match.
Most of all her heart still beats to the same drum. In a galaxy ruled by the powerblocks she follows her own path, feeling neither the weight of expectation nor the gentle tug of strings, merely the crisp, clean air along her flanks. Set free upon an open sea with only the stars to guide her.
Outbreak is still Outbreak. Enjoy the film.

Oh my god Dash.
Same style as the first one, but bigger, better and with uber sound effects. Feels like a great comparison to Outbreak's growth.
I loved the rewinding scenes, especially the station at the beginning. It's like re-wiiinnnd... this is what we were..... now.... MOTHERSHIP NAHAHA!

this was really one of the best promo's in eve i've ever come across.
Some of the things I thought off making, but completely lacking the skills for (yet).
I tip my head and say this is awesome (never use that word, but nice is just not enough).

Dash, that was friggen amazing. Some of those shots were money. I wish Eve looked like that live more often--usually we all zoom out and such for tactical reasons. :-)

You sir, really show what a good eve movie is all about.
This is by far the best eve video I've seen up to now.
Excellent editing. Great use of the camera, getting some really cool angels.
Not just a fleet kill-a-ton battle, but it was sheer pleasure.
I also loved the music, then again, muse is one of my fav bands ^^

Most of the footage is pretty new, I would say total reused footage is less than a minute? Which is bits and pieces from the old video, and some shots from other fraps, such as the mom kill.
Dash ofc knows a lot more about this vid than myself.

It's extracted from the game files. It's called 'passby01ab'. Never heard it in game, but it's a fantastic sound effect. Some of the noises were taken from films like Aliens.

True. However, the old footage is there since the history is still the same. I wanted to show where we came from, where we had been a year ago and how we are now. Also, for the final montage sequence, if I had all new footage for that I would still be staring at Premiere! Plus, it's a recount of the movie.

Yes it is. I use a Fast Blur for quick zooms, and a Directional Blur for horizontal pans or sudden movements. Some of the actually zooming was done in game, other bits in the editor. Premiere really is a powerful tool.

Heh, well I wanted to use a format that was instantly recognisable. I wanted to break it away from the normal EVE world and really give the intro a hard, realistic setting. Hence the voices in the background as well as radio chatter (that's me by the way, albeit modulated). I am by no means advocating the channel itself, but the format they use is very well known and needs no introduction.
P.S. The music used was, of course, Map Of The Problematique by Muse. The strange electronic music in the introduction is sampled from the opening to Chris Cunningham's video for Aphex Twin's Come To Daddy.

Thanks to that sick vid we all have a lot of work to do for anything new now. The editing was just fantastic and you really tie the whole thing together so well.. I doubt I have the patience for that level of work.

Meh its alright. Totally over rated.
It's nicely done, some good effects put it, but really, it was pretty much the exact same as the old one, as far as I can remember anyway.
Didn't really keep me entertained and honestly, I closed it first time before it even finished.
Im not saying it's a bad video, in fact its good, but totally over rated imo. You have talent at editing, no denying that.

Bits and pieces had been floating around for a while (the opening was used as a teaser for the OB fellas), as well as the occasional shoot for some of the more complicated sections, but it was only in the weeks leading up to the final release date that I got properly down and dirty with Premiere.

I don't know about any of you but brilliant movies give me goosebumps  And this did just that.
Nice camera work. I didn't even notice the lyrics cause I was just watching the camera work and other things lol.
The kind of clip that you don't realise you have just spent the last 6 minutes watching it and wouldn't mind sitting watching another 30 mins before realising that there is no plot or anything and it is infact a ad
