It is hard to admit it, but today I lost 500kk of isk due to Jita Lag!!! (will not post with my main char)
It was the most expensive transport ship that I have bought. I was browsing the prices and I right clicked to check the correct price and buy it, but turns out it has 3 more 0. It was expected that the alert pop up telling that price was too much high will show up, instead of it, I got into the lag, and must press enter to get rid off it, of course I bought the damm hoarder.
I petitioned it, but I bet CCP will tell me that they could not see anything in the logs and that is it, I could not go any further to complain about GM. They did not protect honest players, they should look this scams and ban that kind of people that take advantage of Jita lag. Instead I will have to expend hours to get this isk back.
Not!!!! CCP did not protect honest players, they do NOT care, we do not have any better service than petitions that only tell me that they could not see anything in the logs....
Lets wait and see how much will take to this char be banned or this post be erased...
that is pretty sad...

This has nothing to do with CCP logs. Market scamming is acceptable.
The game provides warnings for you and if you are too impatient to pay attention to read what you are buying and the price that is your own lookout. Even with lag...just wait for the buy screen to appear and read it. Overpriced items are in RED. Hard to miss.
Sorry for your loss. Caveat Emptor and all that.

Ok, you did not read it correctly, I know it has the over price window, but due to LAG, I could not see that window and press enter several times to get rid off the lag.

Still your fault. Pressing enter repeatedly will not help anything anyway.

To be honest, what the logs will s how is just you buying an item. And so you did.
Also, the lag in Jita is very common, and lag is not petitionable as such, and definitely not when it comes to buying items. All it takes are a little patience, and dont hit buttons as crazy where you should not. And when it comes to buying things, caution is always rule number 1!
What you have to do is learn from this: get out of Jita!
You can put that item you bought up for sale again

IIRC the Devs have devoted a server node to Jita exclusively and their servers are about as fast as they come. At some point there are just limitations.
Besides. It's Jita and you know better. Everyone knows it is lag hell. You chose to go there anyway and got impatient. If you bothered to wait for it on its own and give it 2 seconds of thought you'd be fine.
I know it stinks. But nothing wrong was done to you. It is part of the game. Lag and all.

I for one am sick of this crap. If Jita was LAG-FREE with 2000 pilots in it, then you know how many pilots would be in Jita? 2500. You want the cheapest gear in Empire then you have to pay the price of lag.
Also like the other guy said, punching random buttons on your keyboard will not help.

I will petition it until I can go any further, not because the isk, but because this is unfair, if they allow Jita exist, they should take care of it and protect honest players from it... I am paying for play the game, no one it is giving it as free. So, I expect some good customer service and protection from CCP.

Losses due to lag are not really petionable in the first place, and in this case it's not really the lag anyway. If you had looked carefully before trying to buy the thing you would not have had any problems, whether the warning couldn't show due to lag or not.

allow jita to exist?? if they delete the whole system it wont change anything when everyone moves to the new system. They have the fastest server money can buy, if too many ppl go into the same system there's nothing they can do. So stop going into the system!

are you seriously that dense? better servers do not exist, and when they will exist and ccp buys them 500 more ppl will move into jita and the same problem will still be around. STOP GOING TO JITA

You may need some more English lessons. No one said that you personally caused the lag. You know Jita lags, anyone that has been there more than once knows this.

CCP does not promote honest players, if that was the case we would all be playing Hellokitty online.
Lag or no lag, sounds like you would of got scammed anyways..
If you pay attention and accept/issue item exchanges only, you will never get scammed.
Its a simple as that. And I have done over 550bil+ in Faction BS ships in that way, and I have never been taken, most of it is in Jita

You do not have to be in Jita to buy off the market. A couple jumps away and still in region is a lot less laggalicious and can still see the market/contracts. I laugh at your misfortune, as will most who read your post. I avoid Jita unless there is a specific contract there, but I still accept contract as far from Jita as possible. There is a nice post that can be seen on login that lists other good markets. Try them, you will see prices aren't to bad.

I could not see the overprice window, again it was not my fault.
The point here is complain about how CCP will deal with it. That Customer Service s..s on you about lag.
Now I am training Trade to level 5 and selling several overprice items.

Come on lets be serious here.
You did business in an environment that you know is lag infested. The fact of the matter is that CCP is doing its best to keep up the node and is adding capacity as much as is possible to counter lag issues.
The obvious glaring fact is that you got impatient and mashed enter a few times in that environment and received a poor result because you did not have the patience to wait for something as simple as a dialog window to populate.
This is no ones fault but your own. Sure if you want to complain about Jita or any congested trade hub contact CCP. None of us really want to see this beat anymore than it already is.

What do you suggest? Just not let people in?
If they improved the server, more people would go to Jita until it lagged as much as it does now.
Also "market PvP" and scamming are explicitly part of the game, by deliberate design. Everything worked as it should have, just a little slower. You got impatient and lost 500M. That's OK - I've lost plenty of ISK by being impatient too, in the form of ships mostly, but it all comes to the same thing. And I pay E15 a month so there!
But hey, it's a computer game. Dry your eyes and go make some more money. Heck - at least you've got a Hoarder to help you!
PS How did you accumulate 500M without learning how the market works? Were you having a bad day....?
