Note to self: When angry russians enters the system, don't just idle at 100km from gate and think your AF fitted with T2 MWD is fast enought. Oh well, it was only 300m hardwiring and +4 set :D So how long it took for you to lose POD Virginity? Or are you on your 5th year and still a pod virgin? It's great being Amarr isn't it.

Danae Melios	Posted - 2007.10.27 07:16:00 - [6] Ah, still have it on this account ^.^ My first character lost his pod virginity early on, as soon as I realized suiciding could get me across the universe real fast, and I could set my clone contract remotely. I had suicide alts for drawing gate camps off for others to run convoys through 0.0, they died loads but they were meant to. My first death on one of those would have been about two or three weeks that (was it CFS? been so long now I can't remember) broke with Fountain Alliance, I was constantly running and tripping gatecamps for corpmates. On a main account, and not counting suicides, it was about a year and a half ago, before WTZ, got caught in lowsec Khanid system, warped around in a Thorax (not fitted for combat-- was using it to fetch a small amount of Megacyte) for about 20-25 minutes making dozens of safespots and constantly warping between them before I made an error on a gate trying to leave the system. Yeah, only that last one counted, I can still feel the adrenaline rush from that half hour. I still berate myself for losing my head that one time.

I thought I'd try it with a malediction and got popped on my first wave (I forgot my friend had already started the gas cloud damage merry go round, so got hit with the biggy straight away) I limped out with a badly damaged pod just in time,I am still not 100% if the wave would have podded me or not,I didn't wait to find out as rho clones are not cheap (or my implants) and no matter how much ISK I make I seem to spend it all

People were getting podded on that mission Pirate Slaughter vrs Guristas prior to the mission changes about six months ago. It was so laggy, and so many missles that a ship would pop, but someplace in the code due to the lag I guess, those inbound missles didn't know the difference between a ship and a pod. The player didn't know they were dead either, they'd just wake up in a station. -AS

I saw some rats sitting about 200km off of the gate so I headed over to them to see if I could kill them. I was introduced to the notion that some Rats scramble. They killed my ship - I was so angry that I self-destructed my own pod and deleted the character. Guess you could say "I screwed myself".. Obviously, I'm unable to post with that characer. --- "The Galaxy is only as big as you make it." - presumably Eve Game Designers.
