5000km + what can you do? you cant web or scram, hitting them is difficult as they too fast or get out of any range quicker than blinking an eye.
So whats the answer?

Friend sitting 100km+ away? At those ranges you have no transversal and even a Ferox can pop one.

* 2 overheated faction webs so that they actually stop, and then you better not lose them. --------------------------

Yeah right. Domination web will slow down rigged vaga without any expensive implants to 600m/s in like ... 30s. Plenty of time for him to say goodbye, i'll go gank someone else.
Oh wait 2 domination webs? And 30km scrambler and 30km neut and sensor booster and ...
Yeah, you just don't bother with them in the end.
And to masterminds with huginn/rapier stuff, vaga will either burn back to gate or decide not to come close. But that's not winning just yet.

meh its true a good vaga pilot will just escape from most rapiers and hugins, but if one warps in on them while they are engaged with something they are totally borked. and I hear overheating faction webs on rapiers and hugins gives scary range :p
still thought with a dictor bubble and good position above the gate you can usually catch a vaga trying to run up before he gets away, and 600m/s aint nothing to a hugin or rapier doing 3k+

The problem with overheated webs is that their cycles are so short that they start to overheat and blow up very quickly. A vaga can overheat his MWD and it will last a lot longer than an overheated web just to give it that burst of speed to get out of range.

a medicore tank and either heavy missles, small or med drones, cruise missles, cap neuts, heavy reps in conjunction with nos, having a friend nearby in an interceptor or just a sniping ship.
there a lot of possibilities of fending of vagas. ur only f***ed if u are alone hunting rats not aware of the danger u put urself in because thats where the vaga can and will strike u hard since its made for exactly that purpose. be a lil paranoid and think 1 step ahead and ur fine. i was never killed by a nanoship and i was visited by pirates and the like in stain on a regular basis.

Back to the overheaated faction web. If you get him to run out of range you can warp away, or he will warp away. Either way, you don't sit there ****ed off and chewing on barrage m.

And the Vagabond doesn't need a nerf, unless a 300 dps (thats a generous number) hac thats the master at running away is overpowered. :colbert:

Heavy neuts, Curse, faction webs (if they divebomb you), ECM < these all make them run, if nothing else.
And of course Minnie recons.
Sure they're hard to kill, but when you do kill them it hurts them a lot, especially if a pod someone with snakes.

im not sure theres an easy way to kill a vaga... but you can make the pilot very angry very quickly: tracking disruptors. throw two on em and they couldnt hit a barn. he wont die, but neither will you. plus just might be stupid enough to let down the transversal or get in closer so that you can make a run with a web (doubtful, but one can always hope)

Heavy energy neut or damps will get them to go away. If you're going to fight them, two words: Drake spam. They will leave you alone and curse your existence, because the drake spam is just as ******** as a nano gang.

Smack them into a rock or a station or something. Even nano-ships can't argue with solid objects, and in those precious few seconds you can MWD to them, web them, and kill them. ------------------------------ One more soldier off to war... And one Velator in my hangars. |

Something that I wouldn't expect an experienced EFT warrior such as yourself to know is that good nanoship pilots control their ship with the doubleclick method. These don't go into rocks unless you can somehow spawn one 2km from the pilot.

Wow, i didn't think you were this moronic untill you called someone a EFT warrior for suggesting to force someone into a rock. Please show me where on EFT the calculations can me found for force-into-the-rock-maneuvering is.

This is the way:
Have a tarantis at 0 warp-in point waiting in a belt with 5 fighters on him, and a raven with cruises verry closeby (also with 5 fighters), works pretty sweet . Especially if the vaga doesnt have a web, and he never knew what hit him .
Have fun killing those speedy buggers! ========================= Weko Hast > fill a domi up with light suicide drones and drone navigation links arbalesttom > rofl!!! emo-drones?
