What is the purpose of it when armor tankers have Capacitor Power Relay and shield tankers use Power Diagnosis System? --- Alt: Thunder Sovereign |

Its very good for caldari pilots sustaining XL shield boosters....

Edited by: Nomakai Delateriel on 30/10/2007 10:30:08 It's very advantageous for Carriers as well since it boosts cap but improves their ability to jump (as their jumping ability is based on a capacitor percentage and not a strict capacitor number)

Cap Flux are better for your cap than Power Diags...I use them on my Maelstrom.

I'll take cap power relays over fluxes any day, similar improvement in recharge, while much less vulnerable to high consumption mods and neuts.
Bulkheads actually have *some* use...domi with 6 of them and a DCU-II = brick wall of HP

Now, SHIELD flux coils, that's the "most useless" module IMHO. Completely wtfpwned by Shield Power Relays, even if it kills your cap... you don't really care as long as you use drones, missiles or autocannons. _

ok its almost answered, ill finish it: Cap flux coils WERE the most useless module ever UNTIL we got the t2 version.
im pretty sure invention brought us the t2 flux coils, which give a better cap recharge than even pdu2.
so if you plan on permarunning your shield tank, and cprs are too much and pdus too little, you go with flux coils.

Looking at the raw percentage cap increase as a result of fitting the mod:- PDS I = 1.04 / 0.925 * 100% = 1.1243 PDS II = 1.05 / 0.915 * 100% = 1.1475 CFC I = 0.85 / 0.750 * 100% = 1.1333 CFC II = 0.85 / 0.700 * 100% = 1.2143
So a CFC II has the best bonus. However it isn't exactly as simple as that, for running close to permanently running a shield booster, the CFC II is best. However for more short term encounters a PDS seems to be best, as it gives you extra shield recharge too as well as a larger reserve of both shield and cap.

Very handy for fast cyno chain jumping. With them, rigs and cap recharger II's you get a recharge rate of under 90 seconds on the chimera.
Other than that though not great. --------------------------------------

EM drones.
Their damage is so low, that even VS sansha/blood's Thermal drones are way better.

Cap Flux's are pretty darn good on the Chimera, though relays are far better on the Phoenix.

Ummm... I'm not entirely positive, but I think it's a frigate module - it gives roughly 1 more cap/sec on a Stiletto than a cap recharger II. ;-)
Also, it lets you carry more cap boosters in your module, and have a longer time between reloads... etc.
Cap booster 50's are better though... but 25's may be the choice for me after the new inty boost. =)

they are quite useful for a Mission Raven/Rokh need that 90 cap/sec recharge outta them need like 4 pds's and 1 of those plus rigs and a cap recharger to make it.

Good for gettting to sustainability on tanks. - gives more regen, but less endurance.
Also good for jumping capitals, because cap recharge time is all that's relevant for firing a jumpdrive. -- Crane needs more grid 249km locking? GMP and TNP |

cant help but think maybe the cap penalty should be reduced slightly, It should Clearly be a better cap module than the PDS. Currently they are about the same but the PDS gives Shield and grid bonuses as well. ---------------------- Rank: Tech 1 and a 1/2 cannon fodder
