Since this is kinda the official pirate board, And being canadian I tend to drink a little ...
I wanted to know which drink is perferred amongst pirates.
Mine is seagrams 5 star whiskey, and I'd better not hear quafe cause that stuff is sh!te !

I prefer Sierra Nevada Porter (beer) or Talisker single malt scotch (neat, plz) but can also go with black jack (again, neat).

I've also found that a decent Single Malt (Talisker or Oban) improves my navigation skills - The dent on the Billboard I rammed and got stuck on bear witness to the fact.

A quick survey of my drinks cabinet, coupled with a cross reference to my ships being destroyed, indicates that i am most likely to lose a ship whilst drinking Bushmills. I have been podded twice, once when drinking beer, once Vodka and Vanilla Coke, and i have been ripped off once, and i was 'on' Chianti.
My conclusions, your honour? I drink lots whilst playing eve, causing me to not make as much ISK as i should.
This game should come with a health warning.
oh, and i am not a pirate, although i do enjoy a nice rum and coke sometimes.
Perhaps this thread should be in general?

As of the moment the only thing I drink while playing is 12 packs of beer, and my choice of beer tends to rotate with the season for some reason.
I've given up drinking whiskey, most notably Crown Royal, due to my need to cut down on my many vices, and because finishing off a fifth of whiskey every other night gets expensive.
At least now I have more money to bet on Blackjack and Texas Hold 'em.

hmmmmmmmm- ok lets see, I use to smoke more of the good stuff , and that always made Eve a nice experience, and for some reason I lost less ships. Now mostly it is Windsor which is a Canadian whiskey- or a bud lite. Although the occasional vodka or captain morgan can bring out the best in all of us too.

Sorry, gotta correct you here - it's blasphemy using a fork for that...There are absinth spoons for that, you know :P
And if you intend to do it completely, add water afterwards. That's the recipy for the green fairy...Quite, quite good. Just make sure the caramellized sugar doesn't light the absinthe on fire. Looks great, but shame about the absinth ;)

I've an appalling drinking and flying habit on a weekend.
Usually red wine followed by Tequila, Jagermeister or whiskey. 3 bottles of red and about 1/4 bottle of Tequila saw me podded again last weekend, I really have to learn to log off before I'm completely hammered.
Still 2 scorps down after 9 months of passing out at least once a week isn't bad ;)

I unfortuantely only have the one I use, but here's some pics for your entertainment. Really, La FÚe is a good absinthe, although Hill's isn't half bad either. Please ccheck out the spoon (Yeah, the one with the eye ;), that's the kind of Absinthe spoon for the true connoisseurs...And me, being the numbskull I am. Gah. First experience was a double-absinthe, clean. I counted the seconds from the initial searing sensation in my throat, 18 seconds later it felt like someone had ignited a phosphor bomb in my stomach. Heh.
Enjoy :) I hope Absinthe is legal where you are.
Come think of it, I might treat myself to a green fairy now, getting in the mood. Now, where's my Cure cd's...better pull the curtains too.

Absinthe is occasionally legal here. Our government (or whomever is responsible for it) can't seem to decide on the matter.
BTW; just a disclaimer: You'll die of alcohol poisoning a long time before Wormwood poisoning. Some people appear to belive it's more dangerous than other alcohols. Heh.
