• Time Frame for release:

Basically all the coding is done. We need to update the graphics from incursion to incarna, were migrating some servers due to some technical stuff that i dont understand due to being pretty dumb and running some security checks etc. So im personally hoping very soon! But cant give a solid timeline, sorry.


• Will old pages need updating to the new style

99% of them will be fine, due to some custom coding people like to do (including me) a few pages might need a tweak but otherwise shouldnt need to touch anything.

You lost me here im afraid, can you elaborate?


• IC / OOC tab

I think this is generally a bad idea. Wiki is for almagamation of the information about and relating to EVE and what you guys do with it. This includes the fiction as well, but its not really a avenue for roleplay. I mean, if you guys use it as such thats great but adding IC / OOC tabs to a wiki just doenst seem like the best idea. Happy to be convinved otherwise, and if were finding a big need for an outlet for this stuff maybe we should be looking at other things to supply that to you guys.


• CCP Official pages and locking sections.

This is actually a really good idea, Oveur told me so because he said the same thing. It is a good idea to have lockable sections and we should do that. Im not going to add anything til post release though but after that I will be working with YARR to get a list of ideas, wants and needs from the community (you guys)


• Dev blogs being added to the wiki

Let me talk to community as I already thought we did that, mind you dev blogs already have their own section on the website so im not sure they need a duplicate on the wiki. However, you are ofc free to add them.


• "Will adding new catagory links be worth it at this time or will you be able to do searches and add them all in at once like the every page using the [[IC]] header now being in a In-Character category?"

OK, ill admit to having no sleep last night due to my little girl deciding to eat some coins, but im a little confused on this question. I think you want us to add functionality so you can search by categories?


• Will the category tree stay the same

Talked to YARR about this and the rules were alot stricter back in 2009 than they are now. They really want to update the category tree also but its on a pretty long todo list. Im sure they'd appreciate some help in this regard if you'd like to drop them a line?


• Search box in EVE help window

Aha, im glad someone mentioned this as I think it sucks too. I also thought Greyscale had fixed this but I asked him yesterday and it turns out not yet. I will however be sure to chase this annoyance up as deary me, our help search should actually search help! That would be sensible.


• Adding a tab to show info to display the wiki content for that item.

At least that is how I understood the question. This would be kind of cool, but to be honest I would much rather see us eliminate any issues you are having with having the web browswer open on your clients than do something to work around that problem. Im not a great fan of jury rigging solutions to make up for the fact that we havent come up with other solutions.

I dont know where you heard this from but it is very very wrong. We are very much looking for new blood in all of our teams and I urge you to apply!

• Too many construction sites, need more guidelines etc

Yeah, this needs to be cleaned up. To do that YARR need more peopel to help though. And you dont neccessarily need to be in YARR to help, these kind of things can very much be community driven with YARR supporting you where needs be. We do need to make it clearer to players that wiki's are cool and editing stuff isnt going to break anything, I couldnt agree more there and besides a dev blog explaining that im open for ideas on how to pursue something along those lines effectively.
