OP: Good post(s). This is what I'm talking about when I keep saying this:

They need posts like this and some of mine to make sure they're aware that everything is not hunky dory. The rabid fanbois at FanFest and those flaming anyone who dares to criticize the game or CCP are not indicitive of the entire player base. Many players are pretty ****ed off at where things seem to be headed. Trivial new feature after uninteresting new feature instead of fixing things that have been indisputably broken for ******* years. Sadly most players that actually quit do not go out in a blaze of forum drama to the tune of "Can I have your stuff?" posts. Most of them do it quietly, so unless you're doing a "select count(*) from accounts where active = 1;" you're probably not aware of them even leaving. And if they're quitting they're usually angry or apathetic so they're probably not likely to give any feedback.
So it's up to players like me and the OP to try and help them regain perspective and express differing opinions. It makes me shake my head that anyone who does this typically just gets flamed and ridiculed.
I say this because I care. I do not play any other MMOs. I do not want to go back to WoW. I am not quitting. No you cannot have my stuff.

Did you think the skill requirements for overloading (heat) were excessive too? Engineering V, Energy Management V, Science IV for something any ship can do? Sweet FSM...somebody was smoking the holier than thou plant that day...
I still can't overload anything...
