The one I read was a very basic raw one about a week ago. I have had an updated one (I think this one) for a few days now but haven't had the time to sit down and read it. Regarding the API. I have checked his API details and seen that he is in fact selling the items in question, and I have calculated profit - expenses and it definetly comes up green. Being lowsec risk is a big thing. Now, for those of you investing, I hope you are doing so based on your trust in the plan itself as I haven't read this one yet. This isn't secured by me in any way and I won't be buying shares in it (not because I don't believe in it, but because I am diverting all my funds this month to repaying C-P-H). Kirjava as a person has been in my alliance for a while and has always shown himself to be a decent bloke. Anyway, I am gonna try and read this business plan whilst at work now. I haven't read the replies either short of people all sending isk after validation from me (that I haven't given yet) Need Empire Research Slots. Click here

Here new idea, I will be starting an IPO to sell stuff in Jita and Ricdic and Shadarle have alts in my corp. Please send me 15 billion isk in the next four days, I will get back to you soon

It's not a security, it's an exit strategy I can't stop him from scamming, I can only fix things if something happens to him. But yeh as I said, I haven't read the business plan in a while. This was one of the things we had planned for. I really need to read the business plan to remember everything clearly (I have probably a few people a week coming to me for advice/assistance) so as I said, if you are investing based on my participation, wait till I can confirm that participation (ie when I have the time IRL) to read through this and the documentation sent to me carefully. Synchr0nicity	Posted - 2007.11.07 09:58:00 - [54] Ive ran a POS producing ferrogel before, admittedly, my POS had no mining going on, so my profit margins would have been a little narrower. However even if you do have the raw materials available in order to react those, to give you the intermediate to put into the final reaction for ferrogel, the only way you can setup a POS is running 1 large, 1 med reactor, 7 silos. Which on a caldari large, uses all the CPU available and then a little more, and is iirc un-***ble on any other non-faction tower. Now obviously turrets dont require any CPU, however means you cannot fit any hardeners/scrams or Moon harvesters. Therefore to A) mine the moon, OR B) make use of Raw materials, atleast one of your POS will have to be doing something other than ferrogel production, now indeed this may provide you with cheaper materials, however im pretty sure it will lower your overall profitablity, as reacting materials for ferrogel is pretty much the most lucrative moon reaction to run, and doing anything other will lower costs, but not sufficient to offset the loss of full blown ferrogel production. Now why is Ferrogel one of the most lucrative reactions?** Well ferrogel is used in pretty much every t2 product, so there is huge demand for it. The second reason being the capital needed to run the operation. Having just ran the math, in order to run a single ferrogel POS, (buying and reacting intermediates) you need 624mils worth of material (jita prices at the time of posting) Which obviously makes for an extensive outlay. When you consider that the Ferrogel produced from this weeks worth of materials will currently only sell for just shy on 800mil. Giving you just a 17% profit margin per week. Given that Ferrogel is at a year long high sell price currently, and is known as being something which goes from extremes of very profitable, to highly overproduced, wouldnt it be worth at the very least considering diversifying the risk and producing ferrogel in only part of your chain, and producing other materials. When i ran the math last month, there were no less than 4 materials which offered a 50% profit margin. Admittedly the profits were often not so high (weekly profits of 103mil, 189mil, 76mil, 75mil) however obviously these prices allow a lot more fluctuation on costs and sell prices. I honestly was tempted to invest, however if i did i would have to share the belief that the prices of ferrogel and the 4 associated materials would stay constant, which having produced ferrogel before and having to stop after 6weeks due to crashing prices, i can not believe. Personally it seems like you've found something which is highly profitable (indeed it is) however expanding it past 2 pos producing, and looking long term on it simply gives too much of a risk. obviously i havent looked if production costs have increased dramatically or not. However i do know that 1 year ago when ferrogel was at 6K a unit, it was most certainly a total loss each week, as this was where i stopped. Obviously i know it doesnt do any good for your original plan, however i hope my post helps. Anyone who has produced ferrogel who are investing, im pretty confident would rather have a lower dividend from a more varied portfolio, which carries lower risk of market crashes. If you alter your plans to incorporate some sort of risk spreading, (Or can offer a decent explanation of how you believe im wrong) then id consider scooping some isk together, however i cant atm, and thats why..i'm out (sorry just wanted to do the dragon's thing for the whole of the post :D Originally by: Joeyboy When goons and company lose, it's because of lag, and when they win it's because of better tactics?
