However that doesnt mean the laser technology is out of the question. Currently the US navy is in the lead with Engery Based weapons. SEL - Designed to be mounted on the F-35 Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter this appox 8 mile range laser has been proven to obliberate inerheit objects such as tanks, trucks, houses, and of course missiles and aircraft with great accuracy and quick leathality fires up to 3 times a minute with current prototypes. Uses no chemcial 'ammo' but instead crystal leneses which have to cool betwenn firings, plates can be sqapped by the laser on the fly to allow more firings. FEL - Designed to be mounted on the new DDX (destroyer 21st centry series) This high powered laser provides the ultimate anti missile and air defense for the boats, also its also far far far more powerful than any other laser developed by the airforce, army, or navy with a 10 to 1 input to output ratio and uses no chemcials, its been known to vaporize tanks near instantly, still under heavy testing and fine tuning to adjust for the salty air of the sea. Railgun - Also another weapon system developed for the DDX destroyer, this weapon uses magnetics to rapidly propell 40kg shells at muzzel exit velocities of mach 9, for a range of 200miles outranging any other current gun in existence to deliver a pay load that most 2000lbs bombs are jealous, linked with gps and advance computer systems to calculat trajectories this weapon will be used more of a support of troops inland replacing the role of the much more expensive to fire tomohawk for those targets in the range of 200-25 miles Thats not all Air force is developing thier own new weapon known as a ECM Multispectrum Burst cannon. This multispectrum emmitter interferince is so powerful it can and will fry evey peice of electronics of the target no matter how well its sheidled on the aircraft or missile. Far more engery effective than the laser cannons perfect for defending airforce bombers with. Then finally of course the US military is gearing twoards a unmanned front, with many new drones hitting the test field and doing jobs of many soldiers. I see you be working with the US government Stellar Vix Those sound like some very neat things to read about (could you give me a website where I can read up on this please) and of course this is the stuff they are willing to tell the general public I mean hell soon enough the Airforce will be coming out with its "New Round Planes."

However it doesnt mean it isnt getting developed further, for example that army laser cannon meant to shoot down moatars was also canx by congress but the isrealli army picked it up and they are the only ones currenly with the weapon system... Commanche is canx hardcore, both gov and company dropped it very few are flying today. Paladin Artillery Self propelled gun canx hardcore speculation the developing rail gun may have been the cause. Pelican Transport Plane developed by boeing last i hear was still a go, 5 of these planes can transport an entire army and all of thier gear and viechles. YF-23 Blackwidow is canx, nasa has a few flying though for experiments, and various other f-22 losers built on a scaled size to test new airwings out. the other YF-35 by beoing is grounded, the over complicated model that lost to lockheedmartins F-35 in the compitition put it out of business DDX is a go, first fully built hull up DDX to roll out in 2011 first class will be called the Zimwalt class (sp?) this is easily googable Free Electron Laser can be googled as is there are multidutes of sites covering this subject also googling the ddx might yeild results SEL laser however is harder to google but google F-35 laser instead or the lightning II laser and you can get some articles on it. A lightweight Humvee replacement is on the way, it has impressive defenses for a scout veichle no codename yet but its IED proffed. Next American MBT isnt due out until 2025 strongly leaning for a unmanned tank thats slightly bigger than a humvee as well. Microwave shields have been a little topic here and there used for anti munitions field. New landmine replacement is a full go last details being put in and stress tested now, this new smart mine will shoot thier targets instead of waiting to be stepped on. Cold Plasma Shielding has been developed on the airforce for sattelight protection from such weapons similar to the ecm multispectrum burst cannon they themselves are building. Will not stop a bullet though but can stop energy and smaller slower moving phycial objects. No word on its progress though. Other than that is all i can remember for now rest of the stuff i know is classified :P and you will probably have to wait antoher 10 years, most of these things been around since the 1970s on paper.
