Quote: I was updating my version of EVE yesterday when halfway through my computer crashed. This effectivally destroyed my installation. This made me decide to download and install the full version from the website. There's one major problem with that however, it drops out every time stating that the downloaded install package is corrupt. I've downloaded it several times now, and it keeps coming upt with this same message.
I would suggest contacting customer support for that one. Link ______________

I joined my former corp at release week. When wanted to quit 2 weeks ago I couldn't, nor could my ceo expel me. Workaround by forming a new (temporary) corp.
But now the employment history look like ****. Only includes the temporary corp & the current npc corp. Instead of 10 months employee record, it's 2 weeks.
Support says "have no tools to fix", file a bug report. Done.

In the market buy/sell dialogs and when entering how many runs you want on a production job you can not delete the last digit in the text box. This almost caused me to produce 301 items when I was going to make 30, and caused a corpmate to but in a buy order with one extra 0 in the end. This seriously needs fixing as it can cause huge losses because of ppl entering the wrong amounts. So double check all amounts and number of runs before continuing. |

When in a conversation window with 3 people total (have not tested with this with greater numbers), and one person logs off/drops connection, and logs back on, sometimes you are unable to re-invite the person to the chat via the right-click on tab and invite option. You receive an error popup that says the person is offline or otherwise unreachable, when there is no question the person is in game. I verified this via phonecall since I had the problem while convo'ing 2 RL friends.
The error happens probably 95% of the time, like the chat window does not recognize that buddy#2 came back online. ____________________ -Zerkbahl Venomflame |

Edited by: Mining Maxx on 10/03/2004 10:23:41 Hi again...
User Interface -> Market (Sell orders)
- There's a strange behaviour when entering a price in sell orders. When entering a certain value and DELeting the previous numbers, the 2 digits behind (right) the decimal dot jump to the left, e.g. if it was 0.01 and you enter 58 and delete the obsolete 0, then press del once more it suddenly shows 5801.00 and so on (press DEL 3 more times and it will change to 581.00, 58.00 and 5800.00). Same kind of behaviour applies to the decimal ciphers themselves, just without them jumping to the left side.

Station Services->Fitting
Weapons don't get thier skill bonus in cpu usage the corect way everytime you open the fitting screen. Sometimes weapons are disabled cos of to little cpu, trying to reactivate the weapons will give you a to little cpu error message since the weapons are not getting thier skill cpu bonus. This bug has been along for a while now. Before this patch you could work around it by changing ships back and forth but now the only way seems to be to relog :( This is the bug I see as most anoying of them all as I refit alot.

control characters in bookmarks and possibly other user named items (ships/hangers/cargo cans ?) are still converted to their enumerated form when editing.
e.g when naming a bookmark "bob & kev" the '&' would get changed so that when you edit the name you see "bob & kev".
Work around is to simply retype it, its annoying though :) ___________________________________________ Join in the NEW Sci-Fi Quiz |

Quote: The armor repairer effect now seems to cause a tremendous amount of lag. When I equip 5 on a ship and turn them all on my EVE client freezes entirely and i have to end task it.
The lag seems to start when you have around 3 turned on. It also effects anyone nearby...I had someone else put on 5 to see if it would cause them to freeze and sat nearby to make sure he was ok and I got locked up as well.
Actualy having anymore then 1 armor repairer active at a time will cuase this bug. When the cycle of the other repairer ends you will get a freeze that gets progressively longer at the end of each cycle. The more repairers you activate the faster the progresion untill the client completely freezes.
This probably has to do with the armor repairer effect repeating its self after each cycle.

Medium Nosferatu requires 30 cap to activate. This module should not require cap at all, but transfer 30 energy from target ship to your ship. (the energy transfer seems to work, but the activation cost negates any advantage u might get from this module)

You can't cancel active missions. Selecting "This Mission sucks. I'm outta here" and clicking "Response" doesn't work. I've experienced this as well, tying to cancel an active mission does not seem to do anything.

Graphics/Visual
Noticed a problem when entering warp, all the transparent windows show a weird shadowing or like a zoom or something. For example if I were to pan my field of veiw around, I can see a huge close up in the chat or cargo hold windows of the sun, gates an planets.
Problem is reocurring ever since this patch. Nothing limiting on my gameplay just an irratation.

Mission Bug. According to the patch notes, the missions given should never be to systems greater then .25 from the one you are in. Explain then why I have gotten 2 missions in a .4 to do in a .2?

Because .4 - .2 = .2 < .25
The patch notes say you will never be sent to a system lower then .25 from the sec of the system your agent is in.

Station Services->Market
- When selling a ship of type X and also having a type X ship active you get the "Can''t sell active ship message" even if it is the unassembled ones you click quicksell / adv. market info on and then chose sell. This might be a feature tough.

Hmm ok the "can't cancel active mission"-bug seems to be patched ;)
But i have found some confusing item requirements:
Medium Shield Extender II needs Shield Upgrades Lvl 4 Large Shield Extender II needs Shield Upgrades Lvl 2
this should be vice versa. _______________________________________________________________ [ 2004.04.14 12:26:17 ] (combat) <color=0xffbbbb00>Your 250mm 'Scout' I Accelerator Cannon perfectly strikes Guardian Initiate, wrecking for 172.8 damage. |

Station Services -> Fitting
Hi-slot modules are deactivating when you activate a different ship in station and they also fail to take into account the Weapons Upgrades bonus - the only solution is to repackage the affected modules.

I am not sure if it only happens when you activate adifferent ship, the random modules deactivation happens to me often.I am obliged to check each time before leaving station and even then, sometimes modules that were active are no longer active when leaving station.
Please fix it , its critical , wouldnt want to find out all of my warp stabilizers are offline when a pirate has warp scrambled me....

Corporation Buy Orders
My corp likes to use market buy orders to buy minerals from our members at a particular station at a particular price. We are large enough that our neighbors don't put up competing orders so we are the only buy orders at your station. The problem we have is that the markets default to the highest buy price in area/region even if our members correctly right click on our buy order and have their markets set to show only orders from our station.... Technically speaking - this is whacked
1) Players should be able to choose who they sell to and 2) if the market is set to "station only" then the buy order should default to the buy orders at that station
Please advise.

As of 1411, when a 1600mm armorplate is equipped and armor damage is taken, when docking at a station and taking it off and then undocking, armor is set to a negative value. (My Armor was only down to maybe 85%)
Upon activating an armor repairer, however, it seems that the value of the armor is set to 0, but hull damage was still given (even though it wasnt there prior to removing the armorplate) |
