- Voting for a war: after the 24 hour vote time, the vote will often get stuck for another 24 hours in a state that shows all results at 0.0%, before it is sent to Sanctionable Acts
Standing and Security Status
- Characters in corps with low concord standing are getting red criminal brackets in space, even if the character has a higher standing himself. Confusion is caused where these pilots may not be shot, while the red bracket is supposed to indicate a KOS status.
NPCs and Agents
- NPCs on some kill missions are labled as "Torpedo" or "Rocket".
- Some NPCs are able to shoot from over 100+km away.
- Angel Liquidator, Arch Angel, Arch Angel Scout have wrong bounty. They are currently all at 45k(angel marauder bounty), when they should be 50, 55 and 65k
- Sometimes active agent missions can not be cancelled
Station Services->Market
- Show Info on some blueprints on the market brings up a dead window. Full list to be added soon. (Mobile Warp Disruption Fields, Remote Sensor Damper I)
Station Services->Missions
Station Services->Other
- Factories/Labs: Hitting enter while setting up a job causes the dialog to close.
- Repair: repairing drones does not work properly; after undocking, the drones are still shown as damaged.

- Char sheet blinking not entirely fixed. Still occurs occasionally.
- After partly training a new skill to level 1 (not yet reached level 1), then switching training to a different skill, the char sheet will display the partly trained skill as having 0/x points. Closing and reopening char sheet updates to the correct number of points.
User Interface->People and Places
User Interface->Chat Evemail and Trade
- Chat windows--when a lengthy message is entered into chat, it will cause several messages after it to become invisible, including the portrait icons of those typing the messages. Does not seem to affect text-only mode.
- Chat timestamp is ahead by a few seconds (or game clock is slower)
- Chat window order is not saved, thus chat windows will open up out of order at every log in.
- Cut/Copy and Paste do not work properly. It happens to copy not the text you want to mark, but seems to have a certain offset of several lines to the top (e.g. you mark a line, but the line you paste was located much higher). You can see theres something wrong with the mark "shadow", it does not correspond to the actual line lengths. Highlight also often does not disappear.
- Switching between different chat windows causes the windows with many text lines (i.e. many more than visible lines) to "eat" the downmost 2-3 lines. These can't be shown by scrolling.
User Interface->Other
- When putting up a buy or sell order, the number '1' on quantity and price can not be removed. Delete just moves the text focus one space to the left without removing the number. Workaround is to type in your price and quantity anyways and then go back and delete the 1. Problem also exists in factories/labs when selecting the number of runs.
- Right align neocom: in expanded view, it is hidden by the F11 map.
- Cone representing angle of scan in F11 Map Browser does not match the angle in the directional scanner. It briefly changes when selecting a new angle, but changes back once the cursor is lifted.
- Error message when you try to place a 0.01m3 volume item into a FULL cargo, states "cargo requires 0 units, but only 0 units are free". This is because cargo only lists to 1/10 as opposed to 1/100. Also in fitting, some items can not be toggled online because of rounding errors (requires 5.0 and only 5.0 are left).
- Windows for containers share the same size/position as item/corp hangars.

- Shortcuts for activating modules which include 'Ctrl' will activate the module as autorepeat, even if the module is set to manual. This includes Ctrl alone, Ctrl+Shift, Ctrl+Alt.
Lag related problems

Edited by: Sara Kerrigan on 13/03/2004 02:44:27 Please post any bugs you experience in build 1403+. Reproduction steps are helpful, as well as confirmation by more than one person. Please no complaints/suggestions about features that don't work the way you'd want them to, only factual info on features that are not working as they are meant to. Please check the old 1389 thread for bugs that have carried on.
Build: 1403+ (will be updated for hotfixes and optional patches)
Map and Navigation
Problems with docking--ship approaches and gets into docking range, but does not automatically dock when capable. (Fixed TQ)
- Sorting of planets and asteroid belts in the system list is incorrect. For instance, IX is shown before V.
- Autopilot sometimes deactivating
Modules / Fitting / Cargo
- Armor repairers and hardeners causing excessive lag and CTDs
- Select All -> Drag, from cargo or container only moves one item. Occurs in space, and in station from cargo to hangar after having just docked.
- When logging into space, low slot modules are not powered first, which under cases of cpu or powergrid enhancers, may prevent medium or high slot modules from turning online.
- Fitting a module from the cargo hold leaves the module offline until manually toggled online.
- Moving a fitted module from one slot to another leaves the module offline until manually toggled online.
- Stacking drones in full drone bay will give the message that there is insufficient room. Same problem with loading a different missile type into a launcher when the cargo is full.
- Survey Scanner continues to list asteroids that have been depleted, even when activated after you have left the asteroid belt.
- Foxfire Rocket has the wrong icon (it has the black-tipped missile icon of the thorn rocket).
- Fitting screen: Weapons sometime do not get their skill bonuses when fitting screen is opened, and thus go offline even when there is enough cpu/powergrid.
Space and Combat
Server/Client sync issues. i.e. Target appears 40km away but is really right next to you (the can drops next to you). Also containers give the "not within 1500m" message even if you are in range; must get to 0m to take from the container. sync also possibly related in the docking problems. (Fixed TQ)
- Attaining very high speeds while approaching a stargate by the use of two 1mn MWDs on a frigate, causes the ship to rapidly decelerate to even below the base max speed of the ship.
- Splash messages still being displayed for missiles that had their splash removed.
- Activating afterburners or microwarpdrives while you just undock from a station may make you bump back and forth in tight areas or fly through the stations wall sideways (e.g. lai dai corp stations in airkio). (Thukker Mix stations, Caldari Navy, )
Graphics/Visual
- Models of other ships sometimes get stuck to your ship.
- Shield and Armor Hardener effects sometimes do not disappear when deactivated. Also, other players' hardener effects are sometimes displayed on your ship (same applies with stasis web visual effect).
- Warp graphics pulsate on/off
Sound
- Stuttering of sound loops on some sound cards

I think they decided to keep it at 2750, though it wasn't removed from the patch notes. ______________

Having the same problem as Cashman. Also, autopilot sometimes shuts off over and over even though a destination is selected, or just doesn't warp to anywhere when it's on. I had to restart game to get that one to work again.

I already put in a bug report on this but I guess I'll post it on here too. I was fighting with some other players and was target jammed and attacked by a couple battleships and cruisers after i sent some missiles from my raven toward one of their blackbirds. We were about 70km from each other so I just waited for the missiles to connect and destroy the blackbird before I warped out and they got my shields down before I clicked to warp to a moon. Upon warping out I was still being hit by their guns and missiles and they continued to connect with missiles, show on my auto scanner, and have me targetted when i arrived at the moon almost 5,000,000km away. I was unable to get into warp again and my armor was at 0% and structure at 11% before I figured I had gotten disconnected and logged on with my other computer. I was then told on my first computer that I was usurped meaning that I was never really disconnected and upon talking to the people that I was fighting with they told me they saw me warp away and still had me targetted at the 4.9-5 million km range. |

Has this old bug returned where the low slots aren't powered up before the high/med slots?

Graphical bug - you get ship models 'stuck' to your ship.
Seemed to happen to me when entering a system after a jumping - several times it was my own ship in a different position.

Already posted in another thread but then I saw this one,,,,
The warp "tube" pulsates on and off roughly once a second. Its most obvious looking from front to back where it actually disappears(Geforce4-drivers 40.72). I too have had the docking problem, I just keep bumping into the station unless i select dock, again, after its in view. I also am experiencing excessive lag but im chalking that up to the patch traffic and expect it to calm down soon.
Hope that helps.

Autodocking doesn't work, you need to click on dock again when you're very close to the station.

Edited by: Mining Maxx on 04/03/2004 00:19:42 Hi,
well, dont take me wrong, but this is going to be boring if we have to start from scratch with our bug reports
Most of the bugs reported in the 1389 bug thread have not been covered by the last patch, so please consider using that list as a base instead of starting an empty thread. Dunno how others feel about it, but I already spent some time on reporting in the 1389 thread and I dont think I want to post every single item over and over again.
Anyway, here are some new things with 1403:
Map and Navigation
- Docking (by scanner or manually by clicking the station) doesnt seem to work properly anymore. In fact, it seems like an old bug where the ship warped/moved to the station but did not dock was re-introduced. Usually it simply bumps into the station and you have to right click->dock manually again. Sometimes it docked by itself after "sitting" in front of the station for about a minute
- Scanner: Stations aren't sorted properly since 1389. In some systems, stations are divided into two or more "groups" if you sort by TYPE as some of the TYPES show values like "Caldari 1" or "Caldari 2" instead of their factional dependency. Just check Airkio for an example.
Other
- Character Sheet icon highlighting has NOT been fixed as stated in the patch info. The icon still occasionally (regularily?) remains highlighted on any change even after you opened the charsheet by clicking on it.
And just in case... insert all my other reports right here as none of them have been mentioned in the patch info and those I tried still are present in the current build.
regards...

Yes, have the same problem with docking.
"Select All" only drags only 1 item (as mentioned in Sara's post).
Sound strobes (or rather cycles) if you use use afterburners (though they seem to function normally). Same with graphics display if using hardeners.
Stuck at gate while jumping followed by a ctd, this only happened once so may be a "one off".

The toggling of ship modules (at least in the first high slot) appears to be broken.
The yellow/red indicator light doesn't always bear any resemblance to the active state of the module in ship fitting. e.g. my Moa is currently flying with 4 miner II's, at least 1 of them is deactivated according to this screen, but they are all operating fine in asteroid belts! This is irritating, because I have no idea if a module is active or not until I launch and try to use it.
The pop up menu option that used to alternate between toggle on and toggle off, now always says toggle on. Combined with the above problem, I really have not got a clue what is activated or not when I undock.
While in space, the circular HUD that displays is a module is active or not seems to be broken. Just like the yellow/red indicators on the fitting screen, I am flying with one of my miner IIs highlighted inn red, but it still works.
The yellow/red and inflight indicator problem may be limited to the first high slot, I've not noticed it in the other slots yet.
The pop up menu problem appears to be for all ship slots. |

Leadership; gang skills.
The bonuses appear to be lost remarkably regularly. Gang with someone in another system, and even if they warp to you you do not get the bonus. Re-gang, get the bonus, then go an d dock/launch, and you lose the bonus.
I have not tried re-ganging then warping out/in, and jumping out/in, to see if that also loses you the bonuses.

You can refer me to past bugs with something like [see 1389: navigation bug #3]. There are many bugs that are fixed yet not mentioned on patch notes, and thus need to be tested again with 1403. ______________

Edited by: Kalissa on 04/03/2004 01:31:57 Ditto on the docking problem, the ship approaches the station but doesnt dock until you actually click on the station and tell it to.
I was in a gang before and we all saw our own ships as having shield hardeners on (It only applies to your own ship though, everyone else sees no hardener). I thought this was odd considering I didnt even have any shield hardeners fitted :-) The graphic only goes away when you jump to another system. |

It's not only a problem with docking, i had it once when jumping and several times when collecting loot cans, the problem seems to be that your ship is actually not there where you see it.
If i had a guess i'd say it's a client/server sync problem.

Edited by: Jim Raynor on 04/03/2004 03:14:49 I noticed a gigantic memory leak while outside a conquerable station, but I do believe I am getting memory leaks elsewhere as well.
The client memory usage is jumping to 500mb+..
This might have been caused by someone using an armor repairer near me. ------
