Im really pissed. Many ppl is waiting for gallente ship re-balancing. Galls are still useless in PVP only few ships are "ok" . Winmatar is "Win button" CCP fave race OTMoment.
If you are new player don't you dare to skill gallente They are useless you will just loose your time.
I have Minmatar max skilled on my other toon so its not the point that im LAZY or something I just want to fly in more ships.
Anyway
CCP Tallest in post from 2011.11.04 announced that HE as a great designer is taking care about hybrids... Well CCP Tallest and his Chief CCP Soundwave are not the best designers as we all knows, hybrids and gallente ships still sucks.
CCP Tallest made some minor changes in fitting and He said that this is OK. Well its not. As we can see in this forum thread https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=29692 more PPL complains about gallente ships. What is the best Balancing Feedback: Hybrid Turrets thread has 93 pages now !!! and was viewed 56K times ! (Is this a record :) ? ). What is even more important there is any reply from CCP side.
The funniest thing is that "THE GREAT" CCP Soundwave announced that they DONE IT !! Its done, over, finished, finito, name it ! here it is :
"WeGÇÖve rebalanced small, medium and large Null ammo. I came back from vacation and Tallest had done this. HeGÇÖs a pretty cool dude."

Man ! WOW ! You rocks ! Soundwave you with your padawan are the best designers on the planet ! How simple was that !!! 40% to falloff ! you are.... you are ... genius ! I want to thank you for your hard work ! Changing 20% to 40% in database its very hard task. You must find where it is in database and change it. nice job guys !

What you are going to do with galente ships and weapons ?
When changes will be done ?

gallente do pretty well with web/scram drones. the largest issue people have are catching the targets because of the slow hull, and almost all gallente ships have drone bays. while im nether agreeing or disagreeing with the op im merely pointing out something that is often overlooked.

Gallente is fine now. What needs to be addressed is the following:
- Angel ships, honestly... seriously
- base falloff on ACs, while back they got a huge boost due to TE and TC affecting falloff, but they didn't bother to make it decently balanced
- scorch range, lower it
If those things happen then things will be fine.
If it's worth doing, it's worth doing right.

The buffs were more than enough. Heck, now all my Gallente ships have like 15% extra PG I can't ever seem to fill. If anything they overdid it in that regard. Blasters are fine, the blaster boat mobility buff was perfect, rails are much better... Honestly, what do you want? A massive advantage over everyone else? Because they just fixed that sort of problem. |

You wasn't flyin any gallente ship right ? Try Diemost, Brutix, Eris, Hyperion... or anything ? |

Shield Deimos is fine, Brutix&hype suffer from lack of low slots but work fine with shield fit. Eris works fine in the role it's supposed to do.

I primarily fly gallente on my own time. Trust me, I know blasters. Heck, I run anoms in a deimos. And its fast as hell. |

As a result Gallente is now still Gallente, but better, and not OP.
You can still find "bad" ships in every race, Gallente has no more or less bad ships than any other race. |

Races don't have niches. Ships do.
And the Deimos is a highly agile, high damage platform. Excellent in small gangs and in PvE, specifically ratting. Eclipsed by the Zealot specifically in middle-large scale PvP due to range, sig and EHP becoming more important in that role than speed, agility and DPS. |

That was one ship I had mind, with maybe Eos, Eris and Phobos. However I don't have personal experience with dictors or CS's yet, so people who fly them might rightly disagree.
The Hype sadly does not look very lucrative when compared to Mega and Domi, and I've yet to come up with a reason to buy one.
Rest of the "bad" ships are bad because the ship class has some issues across all races... and even out of them, Keres is certainly not worst, neither are Atron or Maulus.
Talking on this level about ships is of course highly subjective, and FWIW I'm a huge Gallente fan <3
