If you have friends and are camping a gate, hmmm tough one. geddon is pretty good at that. For smallgang solo pvp mega, because of more mids.

Posted - 2007.11.19 23:02:00 - [8] Edited by: Deva Blackfire on 19/11/2007 23:01:56 1v1 (similiar skills) mega eats geddon solo mega eats everything/can run away if needed/can mount mwd,web,scram,inject (needed for solo work) geddon has lots of problems in solo setup (lack of MWD will get you killed, lack of web will get you killed, lack of injector... guess ^^). Its way better gang ship tho than mega (easy to deal damage up from 0 to 55km thx to scorch). Tbh id go with mega if i were you. Gatecamps = sub 20km range = null works wonders. And you can solo/small gang too. Geddon would work in small gang/gatecamp too but when it comes to solo? nah.

A corp mate of mine flies the hype and an old alliance guy uses the geddon (sometimes he'd swap out for an abbadon), and I wouldn't want to have to fight either of them without more than 3 people. I think the hype is better for raw DPS, but the geddon can fit reasonable DPS and a good tank. I'd stick with whichever one you have already skilled up more. ...in bed.

How is the drone race the gatecamping race? >.< If we're talking lowsec your drones are gone in a matter of moments, they're also somewhat slow and bulky, and drones take time to reach the target, which is typically too late to matter too much. I'd say minmatar / Amarr are the better campers.

Tempest and Typhoon can defeat it using superior speed and barrage to dictate range, but need to be skilled minmatar pilot. Gets easier if the mega pilot is overconfident and follow the tempest or typhoon far from the gate. If brute force doesn't solve your problem... you are not using enough
