what is a good setup to not fly ( get in the ship and jet off) but effectively use a Ravyn in a level 4 combat situation ( level 4 agent combat missions)
i am currently in a drake and have some knowlage of its use with shields and missiles but i am somewhat clueless about battleships and their use in combat so if someone can help me out with a detailed list of what skills / modules should i have trained up and in my hanger( module wise) before i am effectively able to do combat in a Ravyn

I think it's the emogoth version of the Raven - lots of black eyeshadow and cheap pewter jewelry cover the outer hull.

Easiest way would propably be using evemon and aiming for specific equipment/setup and then rising all skills that EVEmon suggests for that particular setup to level 4.
Modules to aim for would be XL T2 shield booster T2 shield hardeners T2 cruise launchers T2 BCU T2 heavy capacitor injector (optional)
you can run them already with abovementioned T1 equipment, but t2 is better ofc. In addition to above push all missile 'support' skills to level 3 (level 4 later) and capacitor size and recharge skills to lev 4. Dont forget also skills that increase your shield and armor amount, speed, locking range and speed and other 'support' class skills (like drones). Level 3's in all of those make your survival more likely but ofc you don't need them all at all costs at first to try lev 4 missions.

Some of you realy do have a lot of growing up to do. Given the nature of this guy's spelling mistakes, coupled with his perfect grasp of the English language, i'd be inclned to say that he suffers from dyslexia. As we all know, this is something which cannot be helped nor avoided.
Do you people realy live such jaded existances in reality that you feel it necessary to anonymously bully people over the internet, have you really never made a mistake your self?
Grow up and more to the point, grow a pair. If you feel the need to act the tough guy, taking the p1ss out of those less fortunate than yourself, do it to their face so that they can react in a just manner.
If i have made a mistake and you are infact not dyslexic then i appologise, but all of the above still remains valid - you people make me sick.

I will concede that i did spell existence's wrong but the miss-spelling of apologise was merely a typo, I CERTAINLY did NOT mean to type apologize - I am British and as such will not use an American bastardisation of my native tongue.

you don't use an apostrophe with the plural form....everrrrr
so it's existences not existence's (apostrophe implies ownership (possesive) or a missed letter, that kinda thing) sometimes even you put the ' after the word when it's a possesive plural :) but anyhow have fun ^_^

Interesting that when you read the article for "existence's" (which is wrong), they don't use an apostrophe:
http://dictionary.reference.com/search?r=2&q=existence%27s
Maybe because you don't use apostrophes for plural forms? Maybe because apostrophes are meant to be used with possessive forms, of which existences is not one?
Your mother tongue, you say? I'm glad I studied the American bastardized version rather than your mistake-ridden British version.

*rolls sleeves up* righty-ho
"Do you people realy live such jaded existances"
you originally spelt it wrong, but correctly without an apostrophe.
you used the word as plural (you could have used 'a' before jaded and lost the s, preventing all this kafuffle), therefore no apostrophe.

firstly it's grammatical and secondly it's not grammatical it's punctuational, different thing's.

*sigh* It is punctuational and they are different things. "Things" is plural and therefore does not need an apostrophe to mark possession!
Also, you should use a period or a semicolon after "punctuational" to mark the end of a clause and the beginning of a new clause.

oh come on it was obvious that particular apostrophe was in jest!

Alright, I'll let it go this time.
Shall we discuss more Ravyn skills or have we still not come to a definite understanding of what a Ravyn is?

Well, the Ravyn is fairly useless in combat. The problem is that, in cutting itself, it tends to do more damage to itself than the NPCs.

Edited by: Inen on 26/11/2007 19:06:39 Edited by: Inen on 26/11/2007 19:05:14 On a more serious note, check the stickies. There's a ship setup index there for the Raven, including one specifically for level IV. But if you would like one variation of the cookie cutter setups you'll see, here it is (note, it takes max CPU fitting skills).
6 x Cruise Launcher II
1 x XL Shield Booster II 1 x Shield Boost Amp II 4 x Specific Rat Hardners II
2 x PDS II 1 x Cap Power Relay II 2 x BCU II
3 x CCC Rigs
I have done all missions fine. I did get blown up in a mission because I decided to warp to the mission and for some extremely dumb reason decided that taking out the dog mid warp was the best next step for that day.
