The sort of people who take the time to read the forums are the same type most likely to have multiple accounts IMO. The blissfully ignorant masses probably only have one each.

Multiple account ownership excesses have decreased quite a lot it seems in the last year. There was a time when you'd see folks with 12-14 accounts quite often, but it seems these days people are a bit more balanced.

Holy mother of god. 12 - 14? What were they doing with all of them? Macroing?

Just a rumour I heard a while back. About 20% of eve players own more than 1 account.

Had 3 kill one, now 2 soon to be 1 in 3 days then to 0
37 mill char, 53mill char, and my noob hauler char
think the game has run its course with me atm :) avg game play is 10.5 hours a day and longer on a non workday :)
going cold turky is going to be ruff but hey just a game :)
dang Nerf bat needs to be taken away from ccp but you got new eye candy to look at soon adding more lag
had my fun though just time to move on

4 now with the last ^2 offer.. Gimme another 6 months to flesh out the new account and polish off those last nagging capitol skills on the others and and I will have my very own 12 man corp to do absolutely anything I wish in eve as the mood strikes.. And before you say I'm trying to play the game solo you couldn't be more wrong.. I'm always helping out people in my travels through the game.. Sometimes its an extra hauler or hulk at a minig ops or an npc corp cov ops scouting out a route for some empire industrialists looking to shift some stock from region to region using the low sec short cuts.. Or even harrasing some gate pirates with my 3 stealth bombers to let someone run the camp after they warp off to get thier intys in a vain attempt to kill me + many many other roles.. If it wasn't for the fact you can have multiple accounts I would have quit eve long long ago..

Anyone should be able to micro 3 accounts to have a cov-ops/recon set up the gank and the other 2 accounts plus whatever other members you have with dps ships warp in and toast your target if small roving gang is your thing.. For fleet ops 2 accounts in sniper BS is easy if the lag isn't killing you.. So I guess it simply boils down to your ability to micro the accounts effectively.. If you have the ability then you will very much enjoy the results..

Two. The game is so much easier with an alt who can be on concurrently with your main it's kind of silly. They make everything from mining to moving through lowsec to small pvp engagements waaaaaaaaaaaaaay easier.

2 accounts give you really a bit edge over 1 account.
