Rumors said that trinity is up in sisi? is it true (couldnt check self coz im at work) ? and are there any screenies from my loved phoenix and chimera available?

yes the new trinity client is now running on sisi but none of the new graphics content.

Hmm. It's supposed to be automatically downloading, but how can you see that? And isn't it possible to download out of game?

Its just the new engine where the gpu will be tasked with graphics = better fps and no more load spots for fleet battles or massive lag spikes warping in on a fleet.

seeing as the new graphic content isnt available you will have a lot of problems dloading it

dload it try it and cry, the speed improvements are all aimed at the dx9 shader path the old eve look will be the same as it currently is as stated by a dev in the discussion thread.

atm, in the 10 minutes I was logged in on SiSi, I have seen the following:
- my arazu seemed a bit more polished, with 50% more shinyness;
- stations and planets have apparently been enlarged by 100%+

I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to "expand" my overview. The drones and fleet window were fine but the overview window was "locked" in size.

i couldnt select my custom res, crashed the client somehow, clicked exit game instead of close options, and dont know if the new art is downloading... it's going well.

According with CCP you have to download the content of 1.1 GB... I havent donwloaded it yet and will not download it untill I'm 100% sure that doing it I wll not screwe someh ow the tranquility client.

can someone confirm where the downloading content is supposed to be in or if anyone has managed to do any downloading in the first place? After the patch and pressing the download 'link' nothing is hapening...

Anyone know how to change the server? I actually need to type in an IP address, as I have to connect through a tunnel. If you change the settings in 'boot.ini' the client crashes.

Recent Dev quote put the entire Trinity + SM3 Content at under 800mb. 100 - 200 MB for new client, rest SM3.

This news item really ****es me off. The new graphics engine was available several days ago on Sisi. The delayed news announcement made me think the models were now there. I clicked on the DL link several times before I realized I'd been duped by the news people.
CCP needs to work on its wording of "major" announcements.

Yep, it's up and it's great in its Dx8 form. I'd say smoother and such, but that's with 320 people as opposed to 30,000. No, there is no reason to go and look if all you want to see is the new graphics. They're not in there and no, you can't download them in the background yet. Yes, I know the option is there, but it doesn't work as that's an option from the client for when it's released. The main reason to check it out is to see the different interface, as well as important changes (read:drones).

Ok I dont like to sound harsh but: SISI IS A TEST SERVER
Don't come on the forums and whine about bugs or features missing when you know full well its a test server and not meant to be a finished product. The Sisi servers there for you to help the testing process, not to satisfy your own personal curiosity.
If you can't make any constructive critisims dont go on there and be patient.

I'm really looking forward to this next update, lag reduction AND shiny new toys AND drone interface AND INCREDIBLE GRAPHICS
I guess we just have to look at the scope of this change, its pretty huge, we just have to chill and let CCP sort it out.
Its actually making me want to return to empire and try the new carebeary things they are offering 
tbh the test server is great, its a great resource if you use it properly, the only thing that has annoyed me is when CCP asks for testers and then the lag/queue is so bad that its not worth it.
