Well you may not believe this but today I ran WC for the first time since it was changed in Rev2. (Yes my agent isn't as random as CCP claim).
Anyway, WC used to be quite a bit of fun, despite the drone agro issues on the 1st stage, but now it's just painful.
There is no agro on warp in so you have to slow boat into range of the serps. Then one of the ships gets stuck on the jump gate structure so you have to slow boat up to him too, even engaging at 50k your having to travel 70k to get into range.
Then you have to go deal with the Guristas (well I can't leave red on my overview ) who are not within warp range and not able to approach so you have to point in their direction and hit the AB for another 100km :-/
Finally you kill them (no challenge at all) and have to slow boat back to the serp gate, only because it's taken you so long to get this far you should really salvage this lot before you go to the 2nd area.
So warp out and get salvager, fill that up and go get your battleship again and slow boat again back to the serp gate :-/
urk ! Put it back as it was... please !

Yea I really don't like the entrance... especially since I fly a ship without an AB so slowboating at 168m/s for 50km for no good reason ****es me off. -=^=- "Someday the world will recognize the genius in my insanity." |

Hell, dont change it. This is such a nice fast mission.
With Zbikoki's Keycard its so damm fast. And no one will interrupt while you are in second pocket becauce the whole first pocket is still up.
And explain me one. Why are you flying first to serpentis gate, than to the guristas gate, and than head backto the serp gate. Why dont you just fly first to the guristas :). But well, i understand. It is that the old ways are easier than to learn something new, or change the tactic, isnt it

Old one was better, but that new one aint that bad either. You will just need sensor booster or signal amp to be able to shoot at rats from the acceleration gate. It sucks ofc to have travel but not as bad as say 'massive attack' or other timesink missions where you have 80km to gate and run out of targets when you have still 50 km to go.

You only need to kill 1 group in the 1st room depending on which gate you want to go through. Once you get to the gate you should be close to being in target range. Just fire a shot to pull them then pop them as they get in gun range opening that gate for you once the group is dead. I can see it being a pain if you are trying to clear both sides though...i just pick a side, get it done and move on as it's a little too much time and effort to do the whole lot.

In WC (Guristas/Serpentis version), I always only take out the Serpentis side and don't ever bother with the Guristas side.
Here's why:
1) The Serpentis BS are worth ~800K to over a mil apiece and there are quite a few of them in both the first and second room. On the Guristas side, there are fewer battleships (and only worth around 500K apiece). There are a LOT more HACs on the Guristas side's 2nd room and they each take approximately 2X time to kill than a BS with torps but pays out only around 250K. Besides, the last room, which you'll get to regardless of which side you go through, has all the Guristas BS.
2) Guristas loot/salvage sucks more than Serpentis (which isn't exactly stellar either). Serpentis BS loot drop are more likely to be worth around 500-800K apiece while Guristas BS loot drops (mainly missile launchers) are a laughable 20K apiece. This only applies if you actually take the time to loot.
Points 1+2 means you are missing out on very little by skipping the Guristas part entirely and just go Serpentis.
However, There's a 3rd point:
3) You can get an Overseer spawn in the Serpentis 2nd room which could be worth 5 mil+ and drop faction loot (though I only ever encountered those that are 1 mil or less).
In conclusion, just take out the Serpentis side and you should get good isk/hour return on this mission.

For those who want to clean house and pop lots of rats, do one side, then hit the other. Plenty to see, plenty to kill, plenty to loot/salvage.
Forget slowboating from Serp gate to Gurista gate. Just pick a side, complete it and use the gate in the last room to return to the first room. Kill them all for fun and profit. _______________________________

Why is it with nearly 1000 missions under my belt, I have NEVER had Worlds Collide at ANY level.
It's a great mystery to me....how could a random generator never roll WC for me. I must have done every other mission fifty to a hundred times each, but never WC. I run missions for different factions using different accounts.
I guess in this respect, I'm just unlucky. And I agree - the mission generators aren't as random as they are reported to be.

It depends on who you do missions for. Not all missions are available at all agents, so probably you have an agent who does not give the WC mission.

Maybe Caladari version of the mission is different to the gallente version but in response to your comments.
1. In my version the serp BS are worth 500k to 800k each. vs the Gurista BS which has about 7x 1m+ BS. Plus the HACs melt pretty quick to a set of large rails and warden 2s. Bounties are much better on Guri side, so I don't like to pass that isk up.
2. Well my Gurista side dropped me a couple of 425 rails and an anode electron blaster so I'm not complaining.
3. Yes the Serp overseer was a nice bonus (4.8m bounty). Although you have to wait a while for him to spawn (I'm not sure what the trigger is).

One of them got stuck on the jump gate structure. :-/
Edit:
Anyway, I just think the old one was better, yes it was a ***** to tank with the drone agro issue, but it was possible and fun and quick.

Same for myself and Angel Extra. Although other corpies get it regularly from the same agent.
Mind you, it was only recently I got right hand of Zazz and I've been doing lv4s for almost 2 years now.

Yes, you're correct, there are I think 4 different versions of WC, depending on the region/faction. The Guristas/Serpentis version is interesting because there are 2 variations to this one. One is Guristas prime/Serpentis Secondary (which is the one I always get in Caldari), the 2nd is Serpentis Prime/Guristas Secondary.
I'm willing to bet in your WC mission description, it says something about Serpentis being the established pirate faction around there and the Guristas are poking their noses into the area.

Man, i wish Amarr WC was as easy as the Caldari. Having to fight Angle and Sansha is a pain. You do the wrong damage or have the wrong tank .
But besides that, its a good mission, so no change on my behalf

I understand the World's Collide missions are supposed to have an 0.4 security limit, however this is not the case. I've received WC (Guristas/Serpentis and Angels/Sansha) as high as 0.6, but no higher.

I just did WC 4 in an 0.7 system, so I presume it's offered all over. When you hand in a mission, some times your agent offers you another, with a line or to of think you can do a real mission yak yak, this usually means the mission you will get will be something like recon, encounter or worlds collide. At least that's what I find.

Question... what is the trigger? I remember doing this a long time ago (haven't gotten it again since) but then it was like finish the 2nd stage and warp out or something and the overseer comes in. Anyone want to verify? "You don't have a soul, you are a soul. You have a body." C.S. Lewis. |

fly to the serp gate, blow up the serp, go through the serp gate, take out the 2nd and 3rd room, then go back to the first room blow up the guristas and do the gurista side
although the serps being so far away does suck, that and they lose aggro randomly at times!?

I've got 8+ standings with plenty of different corps as well (across several different corps) - maybe I'm just not using the right corps. But I'm not just talking about Level 4 - I haven't received this mission at any level.
Every Newbie in the game seems to come onto the forums saying they've been exploded and can't afford a new ship, "wtf - are all missions this hard??", etc. etc.
Maybe I should offer to help some of them out, even if it's just to see the Level 1 version.
I'm just getting a new Caldari character up to speed - maybe she'll get lucky?

Worlds Collide is only a Level 1 or Level 4 mission, there are no level 2 or 3 versions of them. If most of your missions have been in that mid range it might help explain the lack of WC Prodesse Non Nocere

I must admit over 600 missions are L2 or L3, <100 Level 4 and a couple of hundered in Level 1.
I've got a new account doing level 1s right now, so hopefully it will come up.
I think I've just been unlucky. I'm sure I will get to do it at some stage though. Lady luck can't continue to be this cruel.
