Edited by: Plutoinum on 27/11/2007 15:05:06 Hmm, from a roleplay perspective it makes sense that law abiding people get a warning, if they enter low sec.
But why should concord or the factions warn a pirate. They are happy, if you die.
edit: Ok, you can argue that the ship computer should be programmed to warn you. Meh. I lost this one I guess.

This is EvE, a spaceships game, and quite definitely not RL in any way.
Sorry for not adding irony tags ... I thought that was kinda obvious.
And thanks for informing me about EVE being a "spaceship game". Didn't know that.

Okay, I haed for the gate, activate MWD and 5.5km from the gate my rapier goes boom.
Would it screw anyone up if entering space you will be deemed an enemy in, triggered a dangerous act warning, just like so many other thing?
CCP, I think I speak for a many pirates when I say that this point needs a warning message.
Ummm?....NO!
Sticky this thread in the "Hall of Shame".

I just had this really great idea...
CCP should implement a "security" system wherein all systems are giving a rating from 0-1. Systems with a 0 rating are not at all secure and those with a 1 are most secure. Each number along the security scale could correlate with another number that everyone has, called security status. This would tell you whether a certain system is safe for you based on the security of the system and your security status. The security of a system would be available for anyone to check and never change. Oh wait...
By the by, I'm not against taking out the warning when going from hi- to lo-sec. I am against adding more warnings of any type, though I suppose customizable warnings would be fine with me. With all of the technology in EVE you would think that coming up with a computer system in your ship that can warn you when you want to jump to a system where you would get blown up would not be that hard to do. At the same time, programming autopilot to jump directly to the gate instead of 16km away or whatever would not be that hard to do either considering all the technology in EVE...
Seems like this is a game feature that CCP probably will keep the way it is. Also, pirates whining about being blown up is comedy gold. Gold I tells ya!

Why?? Are you going to give non pirtae players a warning before you attack their ship, steal their cargo and pod them? Suck it up.. you want to be a pirate.. learn do deal with a harsh reality...
or you could just pay attention to the security color dots on your jump points and realize your jumping into high sec.

Ok, it looks like you got your warning. It sounds like what they may want to do is set the timer up to give you a chance to get to the gate. Sounds like a flaw - petition it.
But then again, I wonder how many people warp into a bubble with no warnings at all and get popped. Sorry, I can't support your idea any further.
they get the your jumping into a system with no concord protection warning. if this wasn't there your point would be valid.
or we can just take away the warning that you are about to jump into space. the should be able to use the map too
Seein the pirate whine here "we don't get warnings, the other do", it is evident that you haven't engaged that warning in the last several years of play.
It work only if you click the Jump command.
If you are on autopilot, or as most people do for fast travel, you set the route with autopilot, disable it after every gate, use warp to 0 and then reenable it (it give better jumps time usually) you will never see the warning.
So if you set a route that pass los sec/0.0 with autopilot, you will get no warning watsoever, only tose red dot on the route. Exactly like you get those green/yellow dots.
The other thing leavimg me perplexed is that I have read and hear some low standing friend saying that the empire navy spawn are easy to tank.
So maybe going in something different from a onor tanked ships could have saved the op?

are you saying cant be noobs. you would be surprised.
no, i was saying they can't be newbies. newbies are these who are new and do not yet know their way around. noobs, on the other hand, are these who behave like the former, but are in fact not
