Hi all,
My account got hacked recently and when i got it back i petitioned, as almost everything was missing. So CCP gives back the isks that should of been in the account, plus 600 mill to cover the items that where sold.
However my problem is that i had more ships that where missing (about 3 bills worth), well CCP told me that they had given me the approtiate isk to cover what they thought was missing and that is all they can do.
So i sent in another petition to complain and there response was a 'punch in the stomach' as they turned around and said that i have been buying isk on this account, and that is how i got hacked. LIES!! I have never bought isks!!
Anyway i looked at my wallet and it turns out the hacker put 3 bill into my account at the start the hack, and then buys loads of plexes.
Well now CCP have taken 3.3 bill out of my wallet so i have nothing!!!

Just curious how you reckon they hacked your account in the first place if you aren't guilty of buying ISK.
in other MMO's stupid people are annoying. In EVE they are a valuable resource
/facebrick for those times when /facepalm just isn't enough

Being hacked, losing everyship you own, and then being accused for RMT, takes the ****, CCP, Due to this huge insult to teh Eve online player base, showing that you obviously doens't care about the players.
Also stating that in the petiotion, that he's been recieveing isk the last 3 days from a KNOWN RMT player, is jsut outrageous, saying that you know that he does it but havn't banned him yet....
I hope you fix your ****, atleast slightly.
And by this I mean Repay him more than 600m out of 3b and certainly don't accuse HIM of RMT while his acc was being hacked.
As of my experience with dealing with accounts, last time I had a account snatch you could tell me from where it was being used from. You should be able to ping that the guy doing this wa from Russia or hwerever this guy lives (looking at his alliance)

Knowing that the "middleguy" of the contracts is deleted already, and the guy who then got hte ships out on public Contracts was from ROL, doesn't make sense, specially hwen he does firesales of all the ships, and sells them quickly again from same station.
Not knowing things like this, makes you look like a total D.I.C.K while psoting on topics like this |

When an account is hacked an extensive check of recent activity is done. Do you really, REALLY think they are referring to transactions that took place after he lost control of his account?

I would assume that CCP has some extensive logging in place. If we're able to see our transactions, it's apparent to me that CCP also has that ability. If youGÇÖve purchased ISK on your account in the past and CCP found it while auditing your petition for your current hacking, then shame on you. If they only found transactions after your hack date, then shame on them.
My bigger concern is, GÇ£how did you get hacked?GÇ¥ How many people have your account information? If you say anyone besides yourself, then youGÇÖre to blame. |

This is by no means correct. There are many stories within the mmorpg industry of whole database being compromised.
Everything made by humans can be cracked by humans. There is no hack-proof platform in the virtual world, just more difficultly ones to be accessed by haxxors.
The whole "my registries are clean; my spyware detectors don't report anything; my antivirus says my PC is cool" thing is trivial. |
