who cares since the titan nerf they are just logidtic ships that can pop the ocasional smallish gang/fleet.
Titan Yes, you read right. T-I-T-A-N. Titan. I'm wetting my pants just writing it. Wait while I do the happy Titan dance ... there. Planned to be as close to a mobile station as can be, it's bigger than huge and will feature the Jumpdrive propulsion. It's _not_ the most uber combat ship ever. If you are looking for combat abilities, you should check out the Dreadnought.

I have it on good authority from a reliable source within BRUCE that they were labouring under the misconception that MC didn't have a Titan anymore.
I think any speculation on that subject can be safely closed at this point in time.
Respect to MC for fielding such a monstrous ship. We were hoping to see its like in Syndicate and you have not disappointed. For those detractors on this thread that suggest there was no skill involved in the deployment of this vessel ... have you looked at the skill training costs/time involved, not to mention the logistics necessary to build such a vessel ? I think I detect the odour of grapes of the sour variety.
Props to BRUCE also for getting stuck in, as I hoped they would do. I'm sure that they will be bouncing back from a loss of this magnitude more quickly than I might hope. ______________________________________________

I was not present during the Op and logged into TS after hearing the general "SHUT UP" after the warpout order and the DD detonation, but I'm fairly certain the unveiling was kept under the hats of the higher-ups and Corbec himself until the last moment.
Although I got a sneak peak of the sucker during a capital move, so that was kind of cool. ---

Other thread got locked...
I'm sure BRUCE will be happy to confirm that they had two fleets - one in PC9 and another in JH-. Combined there were nearly 340 enemies. We jumped Corbec into the enemy fleet in PC9 as they came in to clear the gate for the arrival of the second fleet.
I do not have exact numbers but here is what I do know - the fleet we killed in PC9 lost 72 battleships to the DD. The fleet in JH- decided not to come in and turned around. Our support chased after them and scored several more kills but did not catch the main force. Scouts said there were 'at least sixty more BS in the second fleet'. I just wanna be clear - according to the OP, jumping a Titan into 300+ potential hostiles with over a hundred BS and twice that in support is 'easy'? Hell, lag alone almost made us pull the plug but we held our breath did it anyway.
Now people can knock BRUCE all they want, but they managed to put together over 300 people last night, over a third of them in battleships to shut us down. Call it a blob or whatever; I call it determination and trying to make a point. We just had a surprise they weren't expecting last night, which is the entire point of warfare. Had they chosen to, they could have pushed the issue with their second fleet but by then we had jumped a sizable capital force into PC9 and for all BRUCE knew there was a second or third titan on standby as well. All things considered, they made a choice and called it a night.

Well FC screaming on TS to get the **** out kinda gave it away, esp after the varius cry comments in channels and on TS on lack of fights .

Originally by: Olex Grant I have it on good authority from a reliable source within BRUCE that they were labouring under the misconception that MC didn't have a Titan anymore.
Actually, we can now reveal that this was a carefully thought out plan between MC, IAC, RA and AAA to fake the loss of our Ragnarok class titan, in order to bait a sizable BRUCE fleet. As a matter of fact, Thulsa Doom was standing by as a backup DD.
In a more serious note, can I get a show of hand of people who believed that MC weren't going to get a new titan eventually? Anyone? Hands? :)

The reason why those who know BRUCE knock them isn't because they blob, it's why they blob. They "manage" to put together hundreds of people all the time, for use against far, far less capable gangs than what you guys were fielding (they do after all have a pool of 2700+ pilots to draw from). It wasn't to shut you down or to prove a point; rather it was the forces they had calculated necessary to ensure that you would not engage them. As an organization their "victories" are achieved by overwhelming "show of force" and ensuring their opponents will not engage them, and they'll wait and wait and wait until they've gathered the necessary numbers to achieve that. Their defeats occur whenever their opponents decide to go ahead and engage them anyway. The reason they didn't push the issue and engage with the 2nd fleet is the same reason they fielded 100+ BSs and 350 odd pilots to begin with, it was to avoid any combat from actually taking place. It had nothing to do with the possibility of a 2nd or 3rd DD. Had they known about the titan they would have continued with their orders to stay docked against MC, not because of the potential losses from a DD blast, but because it meant that you intended to engage their fleet and there's nothing they could have done to prevent that from happening.
Now I know this will probably be taken as smack and I'm sure the brucelings will come out of the woodwork to discredit my observations, but I mean no disrespect to either BRUCE or MC. I'm simply shedding light as to why so many feel the way they feel about bruce. There's a reason why within BRUCE itself their pilots refer to Friedrick as Cyvok 2.0 and they jokingly call themselves the next ASCN or refer to themselves "empire builders" rather than a pvp organization. Most of their efforts are designed, in part, towards avoiding pvp.

Another "get" responce lol.
How about a good responce with a detailed counter argument including evidence instead of a insult and a "oh crap i do not know how to answer that" reduced to the word "GET".

When someone says "X up in defense" and 300 excited pilots stick the X out , its not a nefarious plot to lag the server into submission, its 300 guys wanting to have some fun by running a bulldozer into someones backyard. Thats all it ever is.
Goons got constantly accused of purposeful blobbing, yet as we eventually learned, it was never the case. There just happened to be a few thousand goons. So when now that people have grown up and stopped making that accusation , you turn it on the new guys?
When will people realise that if a couple of hundred guys cause the system to lag, its not those peoples fault, its the bloody servers fault.
Good on BRUCE for having a go, and yeah, Titans do take the fun out of the Game, but whatya do?
edit: BRUCE. Dictors dictors and more dictors. If you wan't to manage a 'titan' problem, you need to get that damn thing bubbled *every* time it turns up. You might not kill it, but if you make Seleene (or whoever the pilot is) nervous as hell about actually using it, you can minimise its role or turn it into a logistics only ship. Remember, once its DD has gone off, its temporarily crippled and can't DD for another hour.
edit2: And stay aligned. You will have warning to warp out if you see that thing turn up. Intel is everything. Keep a recon or covops watching it at *all* times. ______ Unrepentant Southern Federation Cheerleader.
