If you don't tolerate it in other alliances, why do you tolerate it in your own?
What would you have me do?
When someone logs out on me, I move along and it is treated as water off of a ducks back, me being the duck, and the dork logoffer being water. Nothing can be done, since it is hard to prove they logged off on purpose.
I remember myself personally jumping into 1-smeb quite some time ago from Sakht whilst driving a freighter. There was a friendly bubble camp in 1-s. My client locked up on jump-in, and I had to restart the client 3 times to get it to load. I couldn't help but think to myself, that if I would have jumped into a hostile camp, they would have flamed me to hell and back for logging off, thereby making myself a dork.
So, I have a little more patience than many due to that personal experience. To my knowledge, that particular issue was fixed some time ago; but nonetheless I believe it could happen still. With you stating by my quoted post that I don't tolerate it, I hereby rebuke your statement.
Logging off to save a ship is lame to be sure, but from experience, it can happen. Not as likely any more for sure, but it can. Can't stand scanning a cloaking isk farmer raven at his SS before logoff, only to have him see me in local when he logs on, and have him logoff again. And again. And again.
Oh, and I jumped into a 200 BS bubblecamp in Catch recently, and we were about 100 BS. My screen never loaded. 25 minutes later, I relogged along with many others similarly situated after not loading the grid. I was surprised to see my ship and pod totally intact, as we took a beating on jump-in from reading IRC.
Does this make me a loggoffer? Not to me, logging off made it so I could play. I was stuck. Did I care if I lost the ship? No, I have plenty. Would I have petitioned? No.
Hope that clears up your question from my personal view, without creating even more.
