about the probe i was flying. correct until last week i was doing courier agent missions to get my standing up. i was simply using the probe because it has a good cargo-hold for lvl2 missions and am a minmatar. some people however noted me about the fact that my alt name and the name of the ship are funny combination.

It's not really offensive at all. It is however vulgar.
I'm sure you thought it was funny, and I'm sure some people told you it was awesome. To me however it lacks inspiration and if you're old enough to play EVE you should be able to do better. If you want a funny name find one that makes people laugh, not one that makes people s******.

It's not. The association of "doctor" and "rectum" can be interpreted in many ways, none is that funny really, and some maybe be offensive/inappropriate.

Why? is it,with near inevitablity that a response to a thread on this forum with mature,moral or ethical content illicits a "prude American" or "gotta be from the US" response from what I assume to be a European?
For a people(Europeans)who seem to regard themselves as being "enlightened" and "more sophisticated than the prude American barbarian" you sure do seem to exhibit allot of bias and prejudice.
I can't ever recall ONCE on these forums the door swinging the other way and an American responding with something like "Must be a Euro" or "morally bankrupt europeans" as a response to an opposing point of view. If I'm wrong I apologize.

The name wasn't exactly witty, or even chuckle worthy. But does that mean it deserved to be changed?
It wasn't even remotely vulgar. A professional title and the proper name for a body part. Its not witty, its even a little juvenile, but it is by no means worthy of being forcibly changed.

Actually i dont care much about names, what i care about is getting some moralist forcing their values down on other people.
Im all for keeping games and corporate webpages "clean", not just for children but also because i prefer it that way myself as a adult. But there is a difference between profanity and simply naming the human anatomy.
Americans sometimes appear(not saying you are) to be a bit strange about sexuality. Also you appear to have no problems trying to force your values upon other people(this is neiter a US webpage nor a US game, its not even hosted inside the US), yet you throw a fit if any other nationality trys to impose their values on yourself.
If your a US citizen, and you find this and similar names vulgar and want it changed. Be honest for a moment and think about how you would think about someone else trying to impose his moral values onto a US game/webpage(for example a islamic person). Ill bet your immediate reaction would be to point out your freedom of speech.
