I really like it. But it's sooo close to being even better. I theorize that it's the eyes that make you look a little artificial. If you find a way to add some life to em, I think you'll have a winner. 8.5/10
p.s. I've already changed the avatar, since this "new" one came up, but maybe somebody'll get to rate my interim version :-)

Not too shabby , but tbh , its not really THAT much of a change , you just zoomed back and changed the background to gradient.
If you ask me , if I first saw this 3 weeks ago.
I'll give you a 8.5/10 , but since it has been the same pose for almost month now I reckon .
Whatever the shiny gem it had inside .. now it has been chipped into some low grade industrial diamond.....

On a side note , I don't think zooming out that far is good for your toon.
Your chin is a bit on the sharp side , and zooming out that far really amplifies the lack of lateral geometry on your toon.
And an interesting background never hurts .
Using gradients feel like you're in a studio taking pictures for the Playmate of the month lol

I think it's gonna be one that people either love or hate.
But onto you, now.....
I'm not diggin the vest/ formal dress uniform. The styles don't mesh at all. But at least you've hidden most of the damage with the zoom and pose :)
I also don't think you need to worry as much about your ears as you seem to be. Every style I've seen you pick lately has you almost going out of your way to cover them up.
Overall, I think you're going in the right direction, though. Gotta branch out and try new stuff from time to time. 8+/10

Your face is just not meant to be viewed up front at all.
The nose feels attached and fake...
I like the expression , but try different lighting , and view from a slightly elevated angle... no one want to check if you got any boogers lol

And they look absolutely horrid.
Because of the crappy Dietels bone structure, the face is so big , if I show my ears .
The fact that it looks like someone did a face transplant on my toon will look the ever more apparent.

That hair is far too blonde to fit with the background, it clashes really hard. It would look a lot better closer to white or darker, or just with a different background.
Of your portraits, I'd say the first one linked is best. I'd give that one a 9/10 and the current one a 7.5-8/10.
