@ Comey Calla : I see that you tried to make your character look more "alive" somehow, but in my opinion, not your eyes nor your mouth are performing the job, and they are rather making the whole looks odd.
The eyes because they are not aligned in the same direction, you're not the only one, but here this is clearly visible, and therefore somehow put forward.
The mouth because even if these partially parted lips are commonly seen for regular behaviour, even in real life, they are not adapted to a picture, and nobody would ever keep his/her mouth half-opened when a camera is around. Another detail about the mouth, both sides are not exactly smiling the same way and it makes the whole mouth looks.. tilted.

I tried a lot but there is no way to pull anything ressembling a smile: her mouth is TOTALLY open here and both corners of the mouth are asymmetrical. I understand why so many characters look serious/angry, there is no way to move the lips for a real smile. It's a pity because I try to make Comey look young and cheerful but there's no way without moving the lips themselves instead of the jaw. They should work more on the avatars, they're very well done but only look good when angry...
(Oh,and her hair actually is floating over her shoulder, but the angle somehow conceals it) |

I think you slightly changed your avatar, no? I like how she is facing away from the camera but the eye is still piercing the beholder. Feels somewhat unnerving, and is somewhat similar to the look I went for with Zimmy (only she is looking from below, not sideways). 10/10
Comey:
I think the smile is much better now, at least it doesn't look as ghoulish as it used to. The mouth and lips are pretty good already, to make it a real smile, you should work on your eyes and eyebrows- slightly lift the inner parts of both eyebrows and the smile should come much more naturally. 8/10

Wow. She looks hot now. Is it just the new hair or did you give her a complete makeover? The eyes are awesome, never ever change them. 10/10

Thanks for that comment, and yes I agree that my current pic isn't the best. Changed my look a while back, tried to get my smile back ever since, but so far, no good. Seems they changed something slightly with the editor since I made my smiling pic. Still trying once in a while

I was drunk and friend shanghai'd me into EvE online (first character).
He chose the name for me because I couldn't think of one (maybe because I was already comatose at that point). I found out about the webcomic several days later...
Apparently this friend thought that whatever I was going to do in eve, it would be fitting the play style he expected of me. He doesn't play Eve anymore, so I am not sure if this character lived up to his expectations...

I indeed modified my portrait almost four days ago, the changes you've seen are the good ones ;)
I've already rated you before, with a comment like "I was only borrowing this donut !" :D. And again, the only thing that might be improved is her mouth, her upper lip is a bit odd on the sides. It might be because you're smiling. 9/10
Other than that, I appreciate to realize that our eyes are working the same way :p

Very beautiful and natural looking avatar. The eyes are amazing and the pose is great :) The haircolor and light creates a nice effect.
However the clipping at your shoulder must really hurt.

@Sriracha Nighthawk : Your skin is very freaky, too yellow and granulated imo. The camera is not highlighting your character, rather his lack of size, which is not good for charisma. :D
